How do you feel about canned laughter?

I despise laugh tracks. The only show I can think of where I didn't mind it that much was Scooby Doo, oddly enough.

I hate laugh tracks or studio audiences held hostage made to laugh via laughing gas and machine gun-toting thugs. At least that is how I think they make people laugh at Big Bang Theory. I watched a few eps thanks to an 11 hour flight and all dead batteries.

Shows like Office and Curb Your Enthusiasm show laugh tracks aren't needed.

I don't know about Curb Your Enthusiasm, but The Office is designed to be a documentary (hence, Satirical documentary), adding a laugh track would have made the desired result for the tv show impossible to achieve.

I don't mind them. Mostly because I'm not picky when it comes to entertainment. If a company deems a laugh track necessary to 'highlight' the funny parts of their show, I'm not going to mind. I'll laugh when I see something funny, not whenever the tv show says something is funny.

I seem to have this magical property in which I can ignore things that apparently annoy A LOT of other people.
