How do you feel about makeup?

I'm really, really pale so I do sometimes wear a really light foundation to cover dark circles under my eyes (as a general rule, if you can see I'm wearing it by any further away than a few cm it's a no-go, I'm really really strict with myself about that - I want to look like myself, but after a full nights sleep, not like a Noh actor). On nights out I either wear smoky black shadow or the good old 40's red lipstick for a change with really, really light makeup.

Make-up can be really fun to wear, especially if you need a little pick-me-up or feel like wearing a bit of glitter or coloured eyeliner - if you put on strong eyes plus strong lips plus strong blusher it just looks nasty, and don't even get me started on plaster-thick foundation!

When most men say that they don't like heavy make-up they usually mean thick foundation/concealer/blusher - a little bit of colour on the eyes/lips for a night out that isn't caked on is perfectly fine.

Not too keen on men wearing makeup, but chicks it's just fine as long as it isn't an insane amount, you know?

So basically none of this:
Dear God that is the scariest thing I have ever seen. It looks like a Clown.
An evil clown. Am scared this thing is going to eat me.

Make-up on guys is kind of odd unless it if for a good reason.
And women should only wear it if it is only applied in small amounts and done well. Me? I hardly wear make-up because it makes my face feel dirty. Though it can be nice to get done up a little sometimes.

On guys, never. On women, I prefer none, but lipstick that suits them and eyeshadow/eyeliner are fine. More than that, and you're changing how much you look to the point where a guy goes to bed with Shakira and wakes up with the Shamwow guy.

I usually think mascara on girls is attractive, but anything beyond that doesn't get me. And if it's too much, it's just gross. Girls always look better without all the other crap.

I wear makeup occassionally. I am a fan of bright eye colors and clear sparkly lip gloss. I especially like purple shadow because I have green eyes, and it makes them look very intense. But aside from liner, shadow, occasional mascara, and gloss, I don't do much. If I have dead-person bags, I'll use a little foundation aometimes, but typically I don't give a crap. I will look tired if I wanna.

On the topic of red lipstick, there are some women who can pull it off great. I am not one of the,. But that 50's style lipstick look can be real damn hot on some women. Real damn hot.

I am not a fan of make up. I don't like to wear it. It makes my skin feel heavy and you have to pay attention to it and touch it up and it's just...doesn't seem worth it.

It seems to me that if a man is only going to be attracted to me when I'm wearing make up, then what's the point? When I wake up first thing in the morning and slump to the kitchen for coffee, I won't be wearing make up then and God help him if he makes a smart-ass comment on it--especially before I've had coffee.

I can see wearing make up for special occasions--weddings, dances, things like that--especially if there will be pictures. But, on a day-to-day basis, I don't wear makeup.

And this might sound crappy but I would be totally turned off by a guy that wears make-up. I'm sorry but it's something I associate with women. And I like manly men. So that would be a no for me.

I'm indifferent to small amounts on girls. However, when you wear enough make up to make yourself look black when you are in fact white, then that is too much. Especially when you do that every day. Someone I knew did that, I predict grandma wrinkles by the end of high school.

As far as guys, I find it just looks weird. I've only worn makeup once, and that was for theater purposes. But, I'm not going to treat them any differently if they do.

I used to really hate makeup, but nowadays I don't really care as long as it's not on my face or whatever.

But, I do care when people who are raving mad animal rights nuts use unnecessary cosmetics. Unless their eyeliners and lipshines were made by someone in a basement using only materials they pretty much picked by themselves from nature, the stuff is almost invariably tested on animals at some point of its production. Just because it says on the label that the particular formula hasn't hurt a single fluffy cute bunny doesn't mean that the ingredients weren't tested on animals when they were separate and you have practically no way of being certain which companies are telling the truth when they solemnly swear that their suppliers haven't requested animal testings on their materials.

If you really care about the lives of them little animals used for animal testing, stop using cosmetics damnit, there's hardly any middle ground for you to walk on here. While you're at it, stop eating anything made of cereals. Your demand for bread is killing thousands of innocent small mammals, birds, and invertebrates.

It makes women look prettier, if its applied correctly and not overdone... and to be honest I think most women are good at applying the right ammount and not going overboard.

As for guys, I dont really care but I dont think most women find it attractive. I've experimented with some makeup in the past and I liked the way it maked me look... Women have a kind of grace and beauty that I have always been sad to miss out on as a guy, and I tried to emulate that for a while in my own looks. It just doesn't work though on guys unless you go the whole way and attempt to look 100% like a woman, and that isn't what I wanted, I was just trying different styles.

it kinda blends in a little with my eyelashes and look good with my dark brown-almost black eyes.
i do wear powder foundation, everything else make my skin look really greasey,

it looks fucking good with everything, even my foul work uniform

I find it attractive on some girls, though, especially really dark and heavy eyeshadow.

It's just a thing I have.

I think a little bit of eyeliner can be sexy. but any bright lipstick is just tacky to me.
And colored eyeshadow (blue especially) makes me want to throw up. it just looks so gaudy.

foundation should be non-existant or unnoticable

Im going polar here. I hate make up on both genders. The girls I've been attracted to never wore makeup, and on guys it just looks creepy. I prefer a natural look.

I really like wearing makeup. I see my own face as a canvas to which many different tones, shades, colours and effects can be applied.

I also have a reddish complexion, so I need a good strong base with some powdered foundation to make my skin look nice.

Makeup DOES have to be done properly though. I hate seeing women who overdo it, especially with blusher and eyeliner.

I do not like the idea of men wearing makeup though. I think there are some areas of the female lifestyle that should always remain a mystery to the opposite sex. Men who understand makeup are just not sexy...

I don't feel very much about makeup. It's only good for when I feel like hiding behind a mask.

Some really subtle makeup can make a pretty girl gorgeous, but in general (and for daily use) I personally think that it's a waste of time and money. When I can tell that someone is wearing makeup, they're wearing too much.

Bleah. When you stand two girls beside each other and one is attractive wearing makeup and one is attractive without, I'll always prefer the natural-looking girl.

After all, you never know what you're REALLY getting with women who wear a lot of makeup.

As for myself, I never wear it. Maybe if I'm on TV some day. Other than that, no way.
