How ironic, I'm uncomfortable around strangers, and here I am, puking out my feelings towards people I've never even seen or talked to.
Welcome to the internet. ^^

And on topic..
I enjoy talking to new people, because i know it never hurts to have a bigger network of people i know, that and i always have my childhood friends to fall back on if the random people at a party are douchebags.

If my family or friends don't know them and I'm on my own then I don't trust them at all, and hope they don't attack me (yeah, I do that).

If I'm under "the influence" then I'm fine with strangers (we once met what we think was a rather young prostitute, which is rather sad), and disturbingly chummy with them.

I'm comfortable around strangers, unless they give off a bad vibe within the first few minutes I meet them. Even then, I can seem fine, and I just watch my back a little more.

I enjoy talking to strangers. They give me candy and let me ride around with them in their vans. Sure they get a bit handsy every now and again, but that's just part of the fun.

I like talking to strangers in certain situations. If someone is openly hostile or rude, I don't particularly enjoy talking to them. But still, all my friends started out as strangers, so I don't mind meeting new people or just chatting with someone new.

In my field, getting used to talking to strangers is one of the pre-reqs. Kind of carries over to my private life too...

I have to talk to strangers as part of my job. I'm always polite and friendly to them, and if it's someone I have to spend more time around then I just act like myself. If they don't like me, tough. Generally though, I don't talk to strangers unless forced to.

I have absolutely no problem talking to strangers at all. not so far to be like 'strangers are just friends you haven't met' thats foolish, but i meet a lot of new people all the time and talking to people is what i do. :) and as it turns out part of my job is talking to random strangers/customers on the phone anyway. (shrug)

I'm kind of shy around people I don't know in 3D land.

Although, I have a much easier time on the internet--because I don't feel like I'm on the spot. I can think about my answers (a little bit anyway) and try not to feel too crazy.

Guys on the internet are fun. Most of the ones I've talked to are very cool and interesting.

Anywho, it's part of my job to talk to strangers daily, so I don't really care.
whats your job? if nobody ever talked to strangers nobody would talk to anybody
I used to be a manager at a manufacturing plant, but I got laid off and now I'm a counselor. HUGE difference, I know, but it puts bread on the table.

It bring to mind the Demetri Martin joke:
Don't talk to strangers. That's a good phrase... Unless you want to meet anyone ever.
... He makes a good point. Gotta start talking to people.

I feel completely normal about talking to strangers, women especially.
The way I see it: They're potential new friends. The ones that aren't trying to lure you into an automobile, I mean.
But he said he had candy!

OT: I don't have an issue talking to anyone really.

I like it. Strangers often don't approach me, I must look really scary.
I find it funny how people don't sit next to each other on the bus. I got on the bus t'other day and there was loads of seats, but there was a sexy guy at the back. Sat straight next to him :p

Strangers have the best candy.

But seriously, I'm fine if I talk to a stranger first, but if they speak to me first then I disolve into a small puddle.

'stranger' is a bad word. The only distinction between a stranger, and a non-stranger is how well you know them. Everyones a potential friend. You should talk to anyone that will talk back; you'll meet lots of interesting, nice people. And, guess what, it's not just you that's nervous. Everyine gets a bit nervous around new people. But, it's only because you don;t understand people. No one worth talking too is judging you. But the only way you'll be able to tell is by talking to them.

I'm pretty shy, I just like to stay away from new people. However sometimes I'm very up-front and casual with them.
