So its been a few months now since Larry Wilmore has taken over Colbert's time slot after the Daily Show and I was just wondering how everyone feels after seeing him in action for a while. Now I just want to preface this by saying I loved Larry on the Daily Show as the Senior Black Correspondent and I felt he has had some good episodes. But overall... I am not liking it.

I have a few problems with the show. First is the most obvious: Wilmore is no Colbert. I don't just mean in terms of style, I don't find him nearly as funny or clever. Now I know there is growing pains to a new show and I actually expect to see those with Colbert when he returns to late night, but I am becoming more and more strained by the lack of laughs I am having while watching. I have full on cringed more than once.

Second is the actual format of the show: the panel discussions are terrible. It most of the time seems to be just a few random comedians, a random celebrity, and one guy who knows what he is talking about in regards to the main issue, with little actual discussion going on. Here you will have the person who knows what he is talking about put up a few points and everyone else putting little more than a few quips, unable to actually counter what was said. Hell a few weeks ago, Rob Corddry was on and he looked lost the entire time. They are given 7 minutes between the 4-5 of them, which is barely enough time to present even the semblance of an argument. Now I have some serious problems with Bill Maher personally, but at least on his show everyone at least has the time to properly articulate some points regardless of what side you are on. If I were to improve the show in one way, I would just entirely cut the Keep it 100 segment in favor of a longer, more in-depth discussion.

Overall, I hope it gets better. I may keep watching it, if only because I am too lazy to change the channel. But so far I have been disappointed. However Trevor Noah seems funny and I am hoping he does good on the Daily Show.

I would find it more funny if it weren't for the fact that Larry waits for all the applauds and laughter to end before he keeps talking. On the Daily Show and Colbert Report, they had better control over the audience, I think. It comes off as almost smug how he waits. Eh. Otherwise, the actual jokes are funny regardless of the JRPG pauses between dialogue.

I watch it, but usually while I do something else.

The show tries WAY too hard to be 'Real Time Lite'.
Totally some weak tea for that.

Comedy Central has a program after the Daily Show that opens with a monologue, then moves into a panel of "comedians" making "edgy" jokes about current events... Is this 2015, or 2004? Because the show was a lot better back when it was called Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn.

The show really lacks humor. The sketches are just painfully unfunny, and Wilmore and his contributing staff fall flat on delivery. As for the panelists, the comedians are lame and the "experts" are uneducated about the topics at hand. Too bad that can't find anyone that's both educated and funny... RIP Greg Giraldo. And, the "Keeping it 100%" segment is just a waste of time.

Here's hoping they get their shit together over the summer and try to aim for semblance of quality. Else, I foresee them losing a huge chunk of the Daily Show viewers when Colbert takes over at the Late Show.

Well... I seem to be enjoying it for the most part... Then again, I don't watch Real Time with Bill Maher, so there's that...

Other that that, I can still see this show trying to find what works and what doesn't work... Sure, it might have "hit it out of the gate" due to Larry's almost-too-likable personality and the audience switching between applauding like they're on The Daily Show or chanting his name like he's Steven Colbert, but I can't say I don't find the show entertaining in general... Regardless, I hope they don't change the whole "talk about the topics not always addressed" concept too much in the long run...

Eh, it has its moments, but overall I find it dull.

I actually went to a taping of it once, and it didn't help endear me to it (largely because it was well over two hours of waiting for about thirty minutes of taping). Wilmore in my opinion just doesn't really have the energy nor charisma to carry carry a show like this, especially since a lot of the time, it seems like they're trying to go for way more energy and laughs than they're capable of providing.

Panels are cancer. They bring on serious guests to talk about serious issues. Then a comedian to honk a clown's horn and make some interrupting jokes to desperately justify his odd placement. Then it's all over before much gets discussed -- cut short for the weak tea segment, and they don't even go for extended interviews like Jon does.

Stopped watching it after the first week. It's just meh. Wish Colbert was still here.

Tried to like it. Just not very funny or entertaining. Host has to remind me every episode that he's a racist. I guess that is what counts for comedy these days. Makes me really miss Colbert. I'm not all the convinced in the Daily Show doing that we'll after Jon leaves. Especially since it seems that most of the really great correspondents on the show are now gone. We even just lost Jason Jones and he was awesome.
