I deal with most pain and often don't bother with painkillers, but if it's toothache, I admit, I whine and cry like a baby girl.

I swear constantly in my head. I dunno why but it does actually help. I went to the dentists once and had a filling done without anaesthetic. I just thought of a stream of swear words while he was drilling, and it helped distract me from it.
Shame it wouldn't be as practical out loud..

i do the exact same thing. i dunno why but it helps so much!

Well there's a sort of group of people in my head which gives some advice and reminders and is also in charge of my morale or something. Their conversations in my head every time I feel pain is like this:

'Sir, I swear by the His presidency in Heaven that if you act like a pussy, then I will cut of your wenis, and shove that flagpole over there - no, over there, jack knob- up your urinary track so high up that you would be coughing up spunk for breakfast!'

'I suggest you should take that advice sir, lest he-'

'SHUT UP MAGGOT!'

And if I don't comply to their demands, then for some reason they 'sequester' stuff from me during important times like exams and the like. So in short, if I don't manage my pain successfully, then I will fail the next day's test. Simple as that. Yes, their quite infuriating if not kept in check, and no, I am most certainly not insane.

I try to not think of the pain as pain. Pretend it is some other strange sensation. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

I don't ignore it, unless it's really small, if it's really bad I unleash a flurry of curses usually follow by some awkward flailing.

I was going to bring a baseball bat though.
Then we shall have an epic duel with baseball bats. :)
So be it! Have at you sir! I'm thinking 10 feet, turn and charge!
[sub]*pulls out revolver while back is turned*[/sub]
So you are going to kill me then? That's not good for pain.

*Wild marter fled!*

Actually I was going to cripple you and then leg it. I'm a massive coward.

I still like having my mobility, so I'll still have run away.

Well it seems very redundant to say this but, I ignore pain by...well ignoring it, just keep going, try to think of it as nothing more than weakness leaving the body, it's worked for quite a while now, so I guess it works.
