If it;s insane to think that the world should throw away their silly "Morals" and embrace pure, unquestionable logic, then I know someone IRL who is insane. If something has no proof, or makes no "sense" he goes ballistic. :
His mom: "I'm not taking you to the mall, you were sick today."
Him: "How does a sore throat make unable me to go to the mall?"
Mom:"How does a sore throat make unable you to go to school?"
Him:' Because My friends will continue to pester me, and talk to me, which is painful, whereas if we go to the mall, they will be a school, problem solved."
mom: "We're not going."
Him;"Explain why not."
Mom:" Cause I said so."
Him:"but that doesn't make any sense."

and that kind of conversation never ends w/ him. And I know i'm insane, whenever I see an infant, i feel the urge to pull it's head off and beat it's parents to death w/ severed head.

Sanity is relative. Some people would consider playing Final Fantasy VIII from 2am till 10am then popping on Clerks [in 2010] to be irrational on the edge of insanity. I consider that normal. I would consider dead baby jokes and litanies about the socio-economic trends of fictional characters perfectly sane and an excellent past-time to boot.

Obviously, there are many more people who find smearing one's self in human feces and waltzing into a shopping mall at peak hours whilst singing 'fuck her gently' in a high pitched squeaky voice as being 'insane' than say, spending $500 on a dozen rare ass, mint-condition comics from several decades ago.

It's just like the gay question: Everybody is gay and insane and a dick and every other negative word to a certain extent. Everybody is unique

The title implies we all think we're sane. Why can't I be insane? My psychiatrist agrees I'm bonkers, as do all the nurses who work at the psych ward in which I'm currently residing. Fuck pretending to be sane, and luring oneself into a false sense of self!

I'm not insane because I don't have underpants on my head and two pencils up my nose.
I have but one thing to say to you.

Flibbib.

Also; to those saying that the realisation that oneself is insane proves one's sanity, consider that this would then become an effective cure for that condition. So, once a person is made to realise s/he is insane, that person's entire personality and the way in which his/her mind works would instantly change.
To me, this sounds absurd.
