How do you like your potatoes?

Do you want them raw?

I hope not, raw potatoes are poisonous and can actually lead to coma or even death if consumed in large enough quantities.

As for the topic at hand, my favourite potato-based foods are tied between fries and jacket potatoes, I particularly like the latter with some nice grated Cheddar cheese on top.

There's a legend that when potatoes were first brought to Europe from the new world, Sir Walter Raleigh gave some to the queen as a gift. The royal chefs had no idea what to do with them, so they used the leaves and threw out the tubers. Everyone got sick and potatoes were banned from the royal court! XD

- American potato salad
- Roasted rosemary potatoes
- Tater tots
- Hash browns
- German potato pancakes
- Potato skins
- Potato wedges
- Patatas bravas
- Mashed potatoes and gravy
- Mashed potatoes and baked potato toppings
- Mashed potatoes butter and garlic
- Kettle cooked potato chips in any of a bazillion flavors

Potatoes, tomatoes and eggplant are all nightshade.

In fact, last year they developed a plant that grows both potatoes and tomatoes.
