Recently, I've realized being born in the 1990s means I missed a lot of good movies so I've been correcting that mistake for a while watching them for free(legally I think) over the past week.
This thread is for commenting on your past movie-binging, longest sessions, and some recommended movies from before 2006.

I used to movie binge three or four times a week (I referred to them as 'movie nights'), but now it's rare for me to have a movie night more than once a week. Still, I watch a ton of movies. I see almost every film in the theater (even Bieber) and I own greater than fifteen hundred DVDs, a few hundred of which I haven't seen yet.

My longest movie session wasn't really a movie session at all. It happened during my all-time longest bout with insomnia, a 58 or 59 hour mess that included three different shifts at work. Between shifts, I would watch movies and surf the 'net in the hope that I would pass out, but I didn't. I watched 8 movies in the 30-some-odd hours of free time that half-week. Fucked if I can remember which ones off the top of my head, but I can find out after a quick check on IMDB.

I don't know what to recommend you without knowing which films you enjoy. But I will always recommend movies like the first two Godfathers, Goodfellas, Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, Clerks, Casablanca, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Perfect Blue, Star Wars and Empire, Arsenic and Old Lace, Snatch, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Die Hard...

Longest session? Man, 5 years ago I watched Pulp Fiction, Resevoir Dogs, and From Dusk Till Dawn one after another. I called it my Tarantino night. That was what, 6-7 hours? Movie binging can be fun.

I still do it from time to time. Like with sagas (Lord of The Rings...or The Godfather).

Ah! And not too long ago (maybe last year), Spike was showing ALL the Stars Wars movies one after another, and rest assured I watched them all >< that was a long day. I blame commercials.

I don't really.

I watch maybe 5-10 movies a year, including DVDs.

So, 1 movie a month...tops, really.

I do watch a lot of television shows and stand-up, though.

I once watched all the LoTR movies (extended versions, of course) in a row with some friends and plan to do it again when The Hobbit comes out. I also thought of having a weekend dedicated to watching all the Harry Potter movies.

The closest that I come to 'movie binging' is watching one or two Anime discs in a row, or watching a couple of Netflix DVDs in a row. A few days ago I watched OZ season 4 discs one (except for episode 3, the damn disc was fucked and wouldn't play that episode) and two back to back.

A few weeks after I graduated high school I celebrated by watching Tombstone, King Kong (new version), Braveheart, LotR trilogy, and Blackhawk Down all in a row. Then I played through Half Life 2 w/ episodes 1 and 2 right after. I was going to go through Halo after that but I passed out. Last thing I remember was going through the first Arbitor level in Halo 2. I still have no idea how I ended up in bed with my 360 turned off.

Last one I had was a 12 hour binge of my favourite Arnie movies, plus I think a Kurt Russell film thrown in. It was awesome.

My dad and I start watching a movie on a school night, and then we have to stop when it's time for bed, and it ends up taking days to finish.

Seriously.
Unforgiven took like, a week to finish.
My idea of a movie binge is to finish a movie in one sitting, which rarely happens.
