What little routines/food/drugs/drinks to you find improve your gaming skill?

For me, I always find that if I go out for a walk and have a shower before gaming, I play a lot better as I feel fresh and have a healthy blood flow going on.

I fuel myself with Green Tea, though this may be more of a hindrance than a help...

I'm still average at best, but these little things really help.

Share your little secrets.

My friend says that smoking weed makes COD easier, I've never tried playing it while high so I don't know.

Dont really have any foods, drinks or rituals to better gaming, not beyond inverting the aim and fiddling around with the sensitivity to get it spot on.

Caffeine, Nicotine and Alcohol fuels my gaming skills... Probably more detrimental than anything, but it makes for some seriously hilarious moments, specially when mixed.

The Nietz-supreme "gaming night" menu looks like this:
1 Liter of vodka
2 Liters of Coffee
2 packs of smokes

Step 1: Drop a coin in a coffee mug
Step 2: Fill the mug with coffee until you can't see the coin
Step 3: Fill the mug with vodka, stop when you see the coin at the bottom again.
Step 4: Drink and enjoy

Be warned that kids under age should not try this. And For the rest of you old geezers, don't try it on nights before work. It does tend to mess up mornings.

[edit] If this is going to be tried out, please, for the love of humanity, TURN YOUR MICROPHONE OFF! [/edit]

I doubt it. Getting stoned slows your reaction time.

Coffee and pot noodles, alternate PC and PS3 to give myself a walk around and change of pace

I fill a huge jug with cold water and drink from that-- I seldom eat while I'm gaming because I hate the idea of food getting on my pristine controller.

Also, though I wouldn't necessarily call this an optimizing factor, I like to SMOKE LOTSA WEED when I'm gaming. It just makes things more interesting.

Take a long walk, then bunker up inside my room with chips (sourcream & onion), candy (preferably chocolate) and a BIG glass of milk.

Alcohol is a funny one, somtetimes I play better drunkn and sometimes it makes me suck even more than usual. Vodka seems to be a good one, wine not so much.

Uh nothing really - I just play at random times with no preperation

Also people saying drink/weed helps - really doesn't unless you have really small amounts. I end up spraying bullets into walls if I play after some drink (funny to have a team yell at you for shooting a plant when you were last alive in search and destroy)

I dont really eat while Im gaming by myself or just with a couple of friends, just chilled water. However, at a lan party, its a total different thing. Lan party menu consists of fried chicken, chicken nuggets, nachos with the salsa sauce, mixed drinks and the occasional stripper...jks

But yeah, I guess I dont really take a particular thing that boosts my gaming skills. Then again, lately, I have just been gaming for fun, finding team games (such as l4d2 and borderlands etc) to play with my friends and have an absolute mind blast.

If some game is busting my balls, I take a break and go get some pizza or kebab. After eating some of that (not all so I wont get all sleepy) I feel super and can pass anything that game throws at me.

I wish there were more games like that, I find co-op play much more fun than competitive.

I practice the moves ingame (usually doing stupid stuff like comboing into walls and such), as well as playing in a mildly well-lit room, and having a couple of cans of lemonade on hand. It takes a little bit, but I can usually get the basic gist of things in one two-floor dungeon or such.
