Oh wow, I do that too. So strange. Also, if I come across some ammo but my gun already has a full clip, I'll fire off a few rounds just so I can pick up the spare ammo, reload and not feel like I'm wasting an opportunity.
heh, guess this isn't as uncommon as I thought, same for me.

Sometimes me and my friend will play that "grab X number of stars to win" multiplayer match in New Super Mario Bros., but instead of going after the stars, we just kill each other, mostly using a single koopa shell and a game of hotpotato with the bomb-omb in another level.

Oh, and going through Doom 3 using only the flashlight as a weapon...you'd be surprised how well it works XD.
Of course, the bosses are an exception.

I think it was GTA: Vice city that this bug/minor-gameplay-element first occurred in that I noticed, but I use to try and slam cars into buildings/light posts/etc. so that the passenger door would be stuck, then I'd get out of my car and jack the other car in hopes that a passenger or three would be in the car with me. I'd proceed to drive around town as fast as I could doing increasingly dangerous things, listening to their blood-curdling screams and trying not to stop (thus allowing them to get out and flee). I had a few bizarre moments where I'd elbow a motorcyclist off his ride and his passenger wouldn't get off, thus doing this while hanging on to me. o_O

This became exponentially funnier in GTA4 when I'd pick up people like Roman, Little Jacob, or Packie and intentionally do batshit crazy stunts just to see their reactions. I had a favorite stunt jump I'd take all of the NPCs (the five contacts, girlfriends, and Dwayne's "back up" included) off of at some point that usually ended up with the vehicle slamming into a building/traffic upside-down in slow-motion, the NPC "dead" (after protesting/panicking in slow-mo), and Niko with flashing single-digit health. Then I'd have the gall to pick the NPC up from the hospital and do it again. I guess the "mini-game" for me was trying to get all the NPCs in the hospital at the same time. They never learned...

Killing as FEW people as possible (I LOVE Splinter Cell), and testing "normal" AI by actually acting normal (did you know that in 90% percent of open world drivers, police will attack you no matter what you're doing?).

GTA 4: I get 5-6 stars and c how long i can outrun the cops. I actually found a way where i dont have to go all over the map. Also i sit there, spawn a helicopter, then fly on top of a building and spawn a car, then i drive off the edge, i like to see how much damage i can do to vehicles.

Flatout 1+2: I pick the strongest or fastest car there is, then go backwards on any race to try and take out every racer before they finish so i can finish first.

Most war games: After i beat any war game i try to run through it again using only semi-auto guns. For example, in MOH frontline, i run through using either the pistol or M1 garand.

Rubik's cubes: Lol this one is going to sound stupid but i dont care. When i mess up a rubik's cube i will sit there and try to get one color completed as fast as possible. this is mainly because i cant solve the entire thing lol.

Nascar 08-09: This one actually involves my cousin. We were sitting there playing 08 and we kept losing every race. I decided that i didnt care about winning so i turned around and started smashing into all the other cars, thus allowing my cousin to win the race. I actually ended in like 4th for some reason.

I probably have ruined every frantic/emotional scene in Half Life 2 by throwing heavy objects with the grav gun into the NCP's grief stricken heads(They are so overcome by emotion they don't notice)

Oblivion had a laughable amount of ways to ruin the game for example:

Put books and everyrthing on a chair and sit down CATAPULT

Plus My first Saints row 2 "Transvestite Granny Raping Gang" is going well....

In saints row 2 I always customize everything about my character depending on how I felt that day and customized my clothes, gang, and vehicle I was using to fit for that character.

Whenever im playing Tenchu Z i try to go throw the whole level without being detected, now i know that the whole point but most people if they get detected will just run off then go back. no matter how far i am in the level i will restart if i get detected. then sometimes i go for "clean kill" as in never use my sword to kill someone

Playing Pokemon in Final Fantasy Tactics. That is, use your allies to help Ramza become a mediator with invite at the start of the game, then delete them. Set Ramza up as a chemist with talk skill and collect some enemies. Play the rest of the game using only monsters and Ramza. I can assure you that this is much more fun than actually playing a Pokemon game.

Best moment I had while doing this happened early in the game when Ramza is trapped on one side of a wall with a plot enemy (been a long time, I've forgotten his name). You're supposed to open the door to the gate so your allies can help, but instead I just had my chocobo carry him to saftey while my three panthers jumped the wall and mauled the guy.
