How do you pronounce Pokemon?

Am I the only one here who has no idea how to pronounce all those different spellings everyone is putting here?
As such I don't think i can make my pronounciation understandable.

It may be pronounced [poh-ke-mohn] if it is meant to be a japanese word, but it is a shortened of pocket monster (which in itself has to be the most sexual name for a kids game ever) so it could be an american word and may read like the american show [poh-key-mon]. Basically, it doesn't really matter how you say it.

Exactly, I don't understand why people can get that wrong. ポケモン is just pronounced ポケモン - simple as that. Well, it does have a silent 'x', too but I don't think that should be a problem

In casual speech I would say Poh-kuh-mohn.
In a more formal tone while addressing a group or crowd I would say Poh-kay-mon. Mainly because it sounds clearer.

I've heard people say Poh-ker-mon...presumably the same people who say Warshington. And Pokey-man which is just awful.

I managed a movie theatre when the first movie came out and heard more than one confused parent request tickets to the "Poke Moan" movie.

It's an acute e. The proper sound should be ay. But I can understand people saying it quickly as an eh.
I was actually suprised it took this long for someone to say that they say Poke-ee-mon.

It suprises me how often and easily people just ignore the direction given to them by material.
I've seen so many people who have watched the anime for years and say Poke-ee-mon, and it annoys me...

Usually Poke-eh-mon or Poh-ka-mon.

My mum and other relatives pronounces it Poke-ee-mon -.- which really annoys me -.-

It depends. If I'm just hanging out with some friends who don't care how stupid I sound, I say Po'-key-mern.

If not, I differentiate between Po-key'-mahn and Po'-kuh-mahn.

Anyway is better than how every single adult pronounced it when I was growing up. It is not Poki-man, it never was Poki-man. I have no idea where they were finding a "man" sound out of "mon". It was cringe-worthy.

Noooo, not even close. I've listened to that song a million times, and they definitely pronounce it Poh - kay - mohn.

Po-kay-mon, because that's the official pronunciation in the English dub. I don't care if the dub acting is awful; PUSA dubs it directly now, and all of the dub pronunciations are the official ones, so that's how I say it. Sorry if I sound American, it's just that I am. (Apparently that's bad?)

I pronounce it how the actors did at the beginning of the English dub: Poke-eh-mon.

Poke-ay-mon sounds silly, and too unnatural to be a word in everyday use. And lord is it.

Po-keh-mon. That's how everyone pronounces it where I'm from (Australia). I don't think I've ever heard someone say it differently, except when teachers tried to pluralize it into Pokémons. POKÉMON IS A PLURAL NOUN! LIKE SHEEP!
