If it's a rapid button pressing scene, I reposition my controller so that I'm grabbing it fully with my right hand, then I start pressing the corresponding button with my left. Yes, I'm a lefty, and proud of it.

On the PC I rarely need to spam-click something. On consoles, I tend to let go of the controler with one hand, point my index finger at the button that needs spamming and hammer away.

I push them... rapidly? I don't know, I just hit them with whatever digit is nearest to the button.

I actually lift my right hand off the controller and hover my thumb over the button. Then instead of actually pushing with my thumb, I shake my hand back and forth in a turning motion, like turning a door knob really fast without grabbing it.

The only time my thumb failed me pressing buttons was on Starfox Adventures. There was a point you had to rapidly press the A button to save your stupid ass, when my thumb failed I covered the buton with the bottom of my t shirt and rapidly moved my index finger back and forth. It worked too and it was about twice as quick as my thumb.

Depends on the game.

If I can use 2 fingers on 1 button I do it. If I have to spasm my arm to make it (spam X to get up, bad wrestling games, etc,) I do it. If I can bind 5 keys to one action and spam them all, I do it.

But believe me when I say that I am fast, and I find my ways to be faster.

Engineer a high-frequency oscillator using powerful electromagnets and a nickel-ferrous slider, ducttape it to said button, and watch in wonder.
