How do you re-happy yourself?

I find that when I'm in a crappy mood I can turn it around by doing a few things:

1) Stop thinking about whatever I'm thinking about.
Chances are good that if I'm in a crappy, pissy mood, it's because I'm not letting something go and am just continually fretting over it. To consciously stop is an important step.

2) Think about something that always makes me laugh or feel happy.
This is probably where most comments will go, because most everybody has something that always cheers them up. I typically remember scenes from my favorite cartoons, from the classic Ren & Stimpy to the surreal 12 oz. Mouse.

3) Refresh you perspective.
Some people might not get this, or actually find it depressing, but if I'm in a bad mood it helps me to remember that I'm small. I'm a tiny person in a big world in an immeasurable universe. I'll try to picture myself and wherever I am from high up, and realize I'm like an ant, with many ant-people milling around with me.

...So, what makes you happy? What do you do when you're in a funk?

I watch something humorous because when I'm laughing my mind is at ease and things are better.

This is usually the thing that does it.

What makes me happy... hmmm...

Doctor Who... I have to make myself watch it but pick the right episode or whatever at it makes me happy.

Radio Comady and the Goodies (sure it's not that funny but it's witty and silly and nice).

Getting out of my head. Do something that takes up every inch of brain space so I'm not thinking about what got my upset in the first place. (There's a few things here that fit the bill including video games, driving, physical activity that requires co-ordination and concentration (like shooting basketball hoops), y'know, that kind of thing).

Good music, a long walk, putting things into a proper perspective, working to realize that whatever got me down is but a tiny bump in the road. Nothing is worth dwelling on. Use it, lose it, move on.

Masturbate........don't look at me like that! You do it too.
I usually get even more depressed when I have spanked the monkey, it's like all my will to do something have been shot out with the baby gravy..

And then I cry....

I just watch whatever series I'm trying to finish at the time, to help get my mind off of things.

Talking to certain people, listening to music, going all OCD and cleaning everything. In that order. Then I'm happy again.

I find that taking a long walk while listening to music usually helps to clear my head a bit. But I think that generally I probably try to seek some sort of comfort from other people, whether it be a hug or chat, or whatever...

Until my girlfriend started being super moody in the "I don't want to have sex" sort of way, I'd have sex. That usually made me feel better about everything. Nowadays, I just wish I was having sex, but that doesn't work as good.

failing all that, I hang out with my friend Ash (no sex is involved.)

Yugioh - The Abridged Series.

There's just too many brilliant lines.

"Let's play a children's card game to determine which of us gets to live."
"That's the sickest thing I've ever heard! Let's do it."
