No, I'm not too bad. Today, in maths my friend stabbed my other friend's hand with a pen and it started bleeding (not much) so he wiped it on the guy next to him. The teacher came over and saw what was happening so told him to stop wiping his bodily fluids on the guy next to him. We started pissing ourselves.

AW FFS, ANOTHER BLOODY INJURY? AGH!
And then I call myself f*cking stupid and move on. If there are no band-aids near, I use whatever might douse the bloodstream. Cardboard, sand, my mouth to remove excess blood, toilet paper. etc.

All depending on the amount of course. If there's more than a few droplets, or a small stream, I am prone to mild panic. But only mild panic. More like;"O-god-I-hope-this-shit-doesn't-get-in-my-clothes"panic

depends on how much, little drop or two and I am fine.

If it fill on gushes out, I will hit the floor before the blood.

No idea why, it is just an irrational fear of it. It is just a red sugary liquid but it just knocks me out.

I completely and totally lose my shit. I have haemophobia and if it isn't fake blood, animated blood or computer generated blood I cannot stand looking at it.

When I see blood I have to remind myself to wash the garments in cold. The last time my son had a bad nosebleed I didn't realize that and ended up permanently staining his comforter and pillow case.

Thankfully he was using his pirate bedding so the bloody stains fit the theme.

Blood, i'm perfectly fine with most of the time, but once my grandmother walked in with plasters and cotton on both her... you know, your 'elbowpit' I suppose, anyway I just got so freaked out for some reason, no idea why...

I'm a regular blood donor, so I see my own blood leaving my body all the time. Though for cuts, I always clean them and put a bandage or gauze ASAP, because I've had a few cuts get infected before, and as I get older, it takes cuts long enough to heal as it is.

Once when I was 13, the day after I got my wisdom teeth removed, I woke up and found my pillow covered with blood and freaked out. Not because it was blood, but because I thought my mouth was bleeding profusely. Turns out it mixed with saliva which made it look like there was a lot more than there actually was.

Yum yum.

^^ This.

Blood doesn't bother me. I wake up with random cuts and bruises all over my body. and have no clue how they got there. Most of the time I don't even notice I'm bleeding. I donate blood fairly regularly and watch them as they put the needle in my arm and the blood comes out. Then again I'm just kind of odd like that. One of my exs faints around blood.....

I'm fine with blood, I see it every day in video games. However if it's in a movie where the blood is like spewing out with such great intensity then it's like whoa dude.

I get lots of huge nosebleeds for absolutely no reason, so I'm pretty used to the sight of blood everywhere.

I'm fascinated by it, used to bite my nails and break skin so i was always used to it.

Got funny looks when i gave blood once, asked for a vial so i could see if it tasted the same when it's in the veins (i was just winding them up)

Blood doesn't bother me at all. However, I can not stand seeing serious wounds. I actually passed out in my "Responding to Emergencies" class when they showed a detailed picture of a severe laceration(it was down to the bone).

Also, when I was younger I had an opportunity to watch my step-dad butcher rabbits. I was fine with him hanging them upside down and draining the blood, but as soon as the skin came off... It was too much, and I locked myself in the house until he was done. I was maybe nine at the time too.

One last thing. Violence in video games... I have NEVER seen a video game that has made me turn it off because of blood and gore (I LOVE horror games, and they are filled with it). Movies on the other hand; I like horror movies that mess with your mind, not ones that throw blood and gore at you. Probably has something to do with the "uncanny valley" effect, or the fact that movies have real people in them.

If I cut myself, I think: "Oh. Damn." Then I get back to whatever I was doing. If I see people's insides I suspect I'd be like: "OK, that's gross but they need my help." Blood on its own has no effect. I once saw someone cut their wrist open and managed to hold it together enough to help them.

Interesting timing for this thread as i too sliced open my finger. It was rather deep too. I'd imagine not too much farther until bone was involved. Oddly enough, it didn't bleed that much at first. It was almost like a massive papercut. Once I washed it though, it started pouring out. I sorta pinched the area together and slapped a neosporin covered bandaid on it and all it fine. It sealed up very quickly and neatly. It'll leave a scar for sure but I'm still amazed at how fast it's healing and how little blood was involved. Hell, it barely even hurts. The only time it bothers me is squeezing the clutch lever on the motorcycle.

Aaaah. Uwwuuuugh. AAAAAAAGH. AUUUUUUUAAAAAAAGH.

No, no no. The "B" word and me do not get along. It's something I just do not usually talk about. I mean, I guess it's kind of different when it's someone else's blood. Then I want to help, then I'm calm. I can handle that no problem, no sweat. I've dealt with that a couple times before.

...BUT MY OWN BL-... stuff?! THAT IS A NO-NO. I don't have any. It's a myth!

if it's my own, i love it. it induces instant tranquility. if it's someone elses, and it was an accident; no reaction. if it's someone elses, deliberately caused by someone else, i may become proactive.
