I've found 2 things that help really well:

1: Start up Assassin's Creed 2, play Don't Stop Me Now from Queen and start murdering tons and tons and tons and tons of guards. It's so easy, and the counter/combo animations are so satisfying.

2: Start up L4D2, start a singleplayer campaign on easy, and murder lots and lots and lots of zombies. Very good stress reliever.

Stop playing whatever you are playing and play something a bit more casual/easy. The Mirror's Edge campaign works well for me when I am peeved.

Or you could stop playing altogether (which is probably the better solution).

I'm sorry but that's just likely to anger me further. "Get off my Newgrounds you preachy, squeaky voiced, poorly drawn, lazily animated fuck-stick!" Is my usual reaction.

OT: Ragequit and then watch a quality comedy programme on DVD, perhaps Blackadder.

I take a walk outside. Mp3 player may or may not accompany me. Funnily enough, I do the same when I get bored from playing a game.

Eh, to each their own. I love his rants. I watch him on youtube, anyway.

I'm very fond of Blackadder. Blackbooks (and Dylan Moran's stand up) and Catherine Tate are also good for recovery.

Just stop. Stop playing. Stop playing for a while, a day or two at the most. Get back to it, and you'll be ready to receive a whole NEW wave of anger.

I either leave that server and find another, Then kick there asses, and feel better about my self (specifically my n00b friends), or usually I don't get mad because I AM the one camping.

I'll punch the sofa and growl a bit, start it up again and give the situation another go.

I don't go in for much in the way of competitive multiplayer stuff, so I rarely have reasons to be furious, but even so I don't think playing an FPS online could really tick me off, since getting killed by other people is an expected outcome. Dying because the game did something cheap and you have to replay hours of content, well that is worthy of a lengthy and expletive laced rant, but dying by itself? Nah.

I win. There's always a next round, always more time.

Offline, there's always F9 and swearing.

I don't.

Just kidding. I basically just shout obscenities in different combinations. It works well

I just came from a game of Modern Warfare 2 and GOD DAMN YOU FUCKING SNIPER CAMPERS AND RPG ABUSERS I WILL FIND YOU!! AND I WILL EAT YOUR...FIRST...BORN...CHILD
It used to be snipers for me. Now it's those baby-fuckers that run around with the 1887's.

Generally, I rage until there's nothing else to break or until I exhaust myself. Recovery consists of firing off a nasty email at the game designers.
