Set your book down on a flat surface, rest your head on top of the book, and take a nap... Learning by Osmosis.

(Yes, I'm aware that osmosis only applies to water.)
Diffusion of knowledge, perhaps? Or if we want to be really geeky here, active transport? ;o)

I tend to do little-and-often when I study (I am working full-time and study from home in my spare time, so putting in five hours just isn't an option). I tend to do an hour, take a break, put in another hour, take a break, then on weekends or near exam dates occasionally have a long-haul study time.

I study very sporadically. In year 11 right now, in Australia. I've coasted through years 7-10 without putting in a lot of work, topping my year in almost all of my subjects the entire time. Half-yearlies are coming up in a little over a week's time. I have begun studying, but I feel like I'm at the stage where I may have to knuckle down a bit. It's largely a matter of actually sitting down and starting. Once I start, I can study fine. Thank god I'm intelligent and can retain almost everything said in class.

As far as my actual study techniques go, I make sure there's no music (can't study with music), and pretty much just read over my exercise book/text book, take notes based off what chapters are in the exam, and then if I actually do all that (which I generally don't), I start doing practice exams. That's it in a nutshell.

Depends entirely what kind of studying. Writing an essay and reading over notes I'll do the exact same thing, put on a movie I've seen or an episode of a tv series. I also listen over lecture notes so if I'm doing that obviously I can't be listening to anything else.

It helps motivating yourself to study if you treat it like a 9-5 job. Get up in the morning either go to uni, read over notes, get started on assignments, etc, and work through to the afternoon. Obviously if you're not incredibly overwhelmed with what needs to be done taking days off or only doing half days is fine.

I start my assignments as early as possible. When you are ahead, tutors love you and are more willing to help :D
If use one whole free day to do study. If things are interesting, i do it when im not playing anything.

That's me in a nutshell right there
And me as well! I hate it.
