Plenty of girls in RL that could wipe the floor with my nerdy atrophied ass. I'm sure there quite a few girl gamers who are better than me too.

I wouldn't care, might be annoyed that I lost because I HATE losing at anything, but gender is meaningless to me (mostly meaningless. anyway. I'm still as hardwired to react in certain ways to girls as the next male person, as much as I dislike that.)

Actually...the thought of gender playing a role in our reaction to winning/losing is more annoying to me.

OMG a gurl who rawks at videogames, wanna come to Dairy Queen with me?

Thankfully I'm neither American nor that guy. Only Dairy Queen I've ever been too was in China. I think the last time I lost to a girl online was when playing Soul Calibur 4, I remember it because she was cracking actual good-quality jokes the entire time so it was fun, not for the fact that her voice was octaves higher than mine and she lacked a Y-chromosome.

Doesn't make a difference to me, a player is a player.

Besides, no girl could ever beat me at video games :p

...Not really, please don't take what I just said seriously.

I would do what I usually do when I get beaten. Keep playing until I memorize every habit my enemy has and show them no signs of winning again.

Once my friend and I ran into a player on Halo Reach with a gamertag of PrincessTwilight or something. In addition, his/her voice sounded very feminine. Then we jumped into the game and, it turns out, she was really really good, so the entire game was running away from her unless we had a distinct shot advantage.

So...I guess I run away.

I'm guessing people don't even know half the time.
I thought `Phasmal` sounded feminine and I always play as a girl but still get called `he` and `dude` and `man`.
Mostly cause I don't have a microphone anymore because of my laptop's weird sound issues.

But hopefully most people are big enough for it to not matter.

I usually don't care about being called dude or man If people are talking about me I get kinda iffy tho When someone calls me Bro I.E "Hey bro what ya been doing" It kinda pisses me off :/But then again i just ignore people.

Same as I do being beaten by a guy, I get my bloody revenge!

Yes there was a time when I were a wee lad where such a thing was a real downer, because I like most people was always told that men and women are only good at certain tasks, but if one breaths in some of the real world that tends to change.

If a girl ever beat me in a video game, I would probably get down on one knee and propose.

Of course, I do that for both genders for a variety of different things. Nobody ever says yes, though.

I just don't give a fuck.

If I was playing against a quadriplegic who had to manipulate the controls with his tongue, then I would feel really bad. Last I checked, most girls seem to retain possession and control over their limbs, so their ability to manipulate a basic controller or keyboard/mouse combination is rarely ever in question.

In my TF2 clan, our best player is a girl (a Soldier/Heavy main. Also a very good Scout). She scares me. I have some skill, but she's just the kind of beastly player who makes whatever team she's on imbalanced. Our best Medic is a girl as well.

But anyway, given our group skews a bit older (I'm 25 and am pretty young in the group) and is more relaxed, we have a lot of girls/women playing on our servers. So being killed by one is really no different than being killed by a guy.

Though not many of them play Sniper. I respect that. Stupid long range instakills...

Hasnt really happened as far as I know. probably for a vast combo of reasons. One i dont usually play multiplayer games where it is 1v1, I generally enjoy either very choatic games or cooperative games. Two, in the rare game where there is some sort of 1v1, generally i dont know the gender.

The only time in my 20+ years of gaming where a girl was better than me was in World of Warcraft. We were both dps rogues in the raid, her dps was better. Didnt care because she spent hours everyday grinding for relatively miniscule upgrades outside of raids and researched her class to hell with spreadsheets and everything. WAAAYY too much work for me, so i couldnt care less. She put in the work and got better results than me. I was generally a lazy son of a ***** outside of raids. Even then, we are on the same team.

Now, if someone was a Madden fan and a girl beat him at the game? Yea its time to hang up the testicles because you clearly dont need them anymore.

kinda joking. kinda not.

I get beat fairly often in fighters by children and girls due to button mashing/one move spamming. I react the same way.

"Well done, you bullshitted your way to victory."

This is a terrible thread premise. I mean, I'm sure they're have been this conversation before (I mean, those whole "hitting women" thread's are rather popular).

It's just, I mean, it's 2012 man. Caring about that kind of stuff shouldn't morally fly.

I'm not saying you're stupid or terrible, OP, but, this conversation will lead us to nowhere.

I get a boner

I find it more novel than being beaten by a male, but it in no way bothers me. Might bring me to a smile though because I'm sad, aslong as they don't cuss me out.
But, y'know, they probably do all the time, I just don't notice.

I don't play online, but regardless it doesn't bother me. If they're better than me then they're better then me. Gender is irrelevant.

Same way I would take it if a guy beat me I guess. I don't really play multiplayer that often and I know that I don't measure up to most skilled players. Losing isn't a big deal unless I care about the game and then I don't care who I lost to.

I guess I should learn to be a misogynist just to fit in, but it sounds like too much work.
