How do you think the fallout series should end?

Imo Fallout should end with the use of a planet wide G.E.C.K. repairing the damage done by the great war. Thus you get a new series of games set in a greener world where you try o rebuild society. Personally I think Fallout needs more green.

good karma: the whole plannet is restored to its pre-war glory and all animals of god's kingdom stand around you.

bad karma: the whole world is a radioactive lava pool with every wastelander serving as your slave.

It should have a good or bad ending, depending on whichever options you choose throughout the game. But no ones said New Vegas is going to be the last one, did they?

I agree man I really wish Bethesda was on this game instead. I think people should take one look at Alpha Protocol and still see if Obsidian should do Fallout. They are just jealous because Bethesda did it ten times better then they ever could. Too late to complain now I guess. Oh well. I thought the series should have ended with 3 in my personal opinion. It wrapped it up quite nicely.

I think it should end as it began:

"War never changes."

Let there rebuilding, new greenery, communities rising from the ashes.

Slowly forgetting why there were ash in the first place.

Armed conflic between groups, fighting no longer for mere survival, but for land, resources and prestige.

And then news begin to rise, of a large community who have managed to create a superweapon: a bomb that can devastate entire cities. And of course, to assure that your peace-loving community doesn't get destroyed, you need one too.

And then all you need is some greedy bastards and politics and inter-community powerplays...

As they said in the intro to original fallouts: "Details are trivial and pointless, the reasons, as always, purely humans ones."

and let the cycle continue.

Considering that Fallout 3 had nothing to do with the original Fallouts? I'd say they can keep this series running so long as they have new and fresh ideas. There really can't be an end to the Fallout Universe as there are plenty of places to explore and stories to tell with plenty of mediums to use.

The only two I can think of that are remotely tied to each other are Fallout and Fallout 2. The two companies that had the people behind both are Obsidian Entertainment and Troika Games, but Troika went bust. So I think Obsidian has this down pat, even though I would expect the odds more in our favor if Troika joined up with Obsidian before going bust... but that's life.

An epic battle in the center of a city, as a faction such as the Enclave controls a powerful nuclear firing center, and theres a massive, 2 hour long nonstop firefight through the streets, hundreds of soldiers and infantry supported by aircraft and mortar strikes, until you reach the main building, and either disarm the device, destroy the control room, or pinpoint targets throughout the world to destroy in a holocaust of ecstacy and flames... World peace, or world destruction, or just let things proceed as usual...

The ultimate decision.

NEVER?!!?!?!?
Most likely, I don't think they would end a franchise that they can keep making games for.

But if I had to pick one it would be that government was restored and the process of waging war (maybe not nuclear) started again, because war never changes and there are really no good endings in fallout.

It won't end, nor should it.

That's the whole point of the game... war never changes or ends, no matter how bad we fuck eachother up.
