I did basic training when in the CCF (kind of like the RAF Cadets) while at school. Hell, it's a British school and yet we had weapons on the school grounds - I was taught how to shoot the cadet variant of the rifle used in real warzones, the L-98. Anyway, I'm naturally a sneaky and stealthy person, and I've long had an interest in military tactics (beyond just videogames), so when it comes to operations I'd be a pretty good tactician. I'm not a bad shot, and I'd make a point of specialising in marksmanship if I were to actually join the military. And I reckon I'd at least be a corporal or sergeant within a short time, purely because of my team-work skills and tactical knowledge. After all, as they say, orders that aren't made on the ground in battle aren't worth shit.
So yeah, I reckon I'd do fairly okay in real-life warfare. Not amazingly well, but well enough to survive and mostly come out of battles on the winning side, and with as many of my side alive as possible. That being said, I've just finished university and I went to a grammar school (and considered joining the RAF anyway, starting officer training). So I'd probably be able to join as an officer straight away
