I'm going to assume that yours is due to some 'weird' stuff. I'd have an awkward sit down conversation from things like "Thepunchlineismachismo" or my browser history regarding harvest moon.Trololo Punk said:

My history is automatically wiped clean (aside from my bookmarks) so I'm sure I've got nothing to worry about.

I doubt they'd be surprised. Of course, I use private mode for all the stuff I don't want others to know like any intelligent netizen.

The My Little Pony sites and youtube videos are far more likely to make them ask me a few things. Fortunately, they love Animaniacs and other cartoons from my own childhood as much as I do. Once I mention how I think MLP has the kind of age- and gender-spanning wit and charm of the likes of Animaniacs and Looney Tunes, they'll learn to like it as well, or at least understand why I like it.
In short: They'll be perfectly cool with it. My parents are pretty awesome like that.

Well, If they went through my google chrome history, they wouldn't have a problem.
If they went through my Safari history... I'm not sure how they would react. My mother might just completely ignore it (She's hip like that), but my dad... I'm not sure at all how he would react. Probably an awkward conversation that ends badly with me finally admitting to him that I hate him.

there wouldn't be anything to be bothered by because i generally use Incognito windows (a special browser built into Google Chrome that doesn't save any cookies or history after the browser is closed) when i'm doing something i don't want recorded. but if my dad did find out, he wouldn't care. A, because i'm an adult, and B, because he didn't see himself as someone who's duty it was to shield me from the "evil" of the internet.
My mother would probably wag her finger disapprovingly at me regarding the porn, but otherwise my parents pretty much know my interests and wouldn't be surprised at all.
