I view people as individuals that are capable of whatever they want, but become bogged down in their own doubts and the sense of pressure to act in accordance to what is deemed acceptable by one's society and culture.

you make it sound like a bad thing thats alot of what keeps people civilized.
I do find that insecurities being the only thing that keeps people civilized to be a bad thing. Then again, I do not believe that a group of people is any more civilized then an individual nor do I think that these insecurities make us civilized. It is all, however, a matter of perception.
What I mean is that our insecuritys allow us to think beyond I want that so I will take it we understand the idea of hurting others and thinking beyond our own wants and needs and our insecuritys force us to take into account other people and the prospect of needing others.

As I said, perception. I do not view empathy as an insecurity, and I do not view introspection as an insecurity. To me an insecurity is a fear that holds one back from advancing as a person and can be detrimental to that individual and/or those around him/her. Love for my fellow man and taking time to think about things is not fear.

What I was attempting (and it would seem, failing) to convey is that things like what a group (society, religion, culure) thinks is right and wrong, combined with one's own doubts/fears, prevents many a person from achieveing greatness.

I apologise if what I mean is still unclear, but as I have said, this is all a perception, neither right nor wrong; just like your's.

And the irony in this is that you, on some subconscious level, veiw yourslef as clever for posting this, but it's probably been done a thousand times before, thereby making yourself one of the sheep. And the irony in what I just wrote is that it's also probably been done before, and so on.

Mentally, I think of them as a selfish race of beings concerned in what THEY want for themselves...this isn't always true but by isn't always true I meant almost EVERY BIO ORGANISM IN THIS WORLD IS LIKELY TO BE AN ASS..

I view people for how they treat me and others. Got no say until I get to witness how they are face-to-face.

People are alright. I have to give them credit, if I was on this planet by myself I would feel pretty lonely. They can do bad, good, nonsensical.

Individuals, on the other hand, are things to be judged on their own.

well we all know there is nothing orginal under the sun

and YES we do overestimate ourselfs, http://www.cracked.com/article_19177_5-shocking-ways-you-overestimate-yourself.html

our intilligence, our attractiveness...its very natural to do so of coarse

and we tend to see toehr people we dont know as shallow or not as complex (Id argue that geeks/nerds do this quite a bit)

anyway generally I see people as generally decent, somtimes apathetic, somtimes dicks, somtimes shallow (Im no expert though)

anyway cracked.com for a comedy site really has changed my perspective on things

but I cant generalize 6 billion people, we are all too complex for that

With my eyes, there, the joke is done.
You sir, have probably ninja'd half of the people who will view this thread. Especially me, dammit.

I view people as individuals, bags of meat, and bags of potential. I'm not certain of anything regarding a stranger; not from appearance or behavior. Anyone can pretend to be damn near anything... until I get to know a person, I err on the side of caution regarding that.

My mind is the only real thing in the universe, everything else is just an illusion created by my mind, that includes you, the person reading this (I know that I'm the only one who is reading this but I find the only way to actually get by is to humour my world and it's "rules".)

I view them as unimportant individuals who will most likely annoy me rather than enrich my life in any way, shape, or form. I don't give most people a second thought as I go about my day.

...what can I say. I don't like people.
