Canada is a bit socialist, but so is most of the world.

I have to respect their military. The US tried to conquer them on two separate occasions (during both the Revolutionary War and the War of 1812), and Canada cleaned their clocks both times.
Lets try again! :D (U.S)
lol no, personally i think canada is beautiful, and should be annexed....

Pullling no punches, we Americans genrally think Canada sucks. Have you not ween that family guy episode?
And apparently you Americans also lack grammar education.
Oh, I'm sorry. Do you want me to sugarcoat it for you?
Silly Muckinscavitch, with your inferior canadian mind, you cannot comprehend the superiority, that One Free America has over communist frog-speaking Canada. You should hide in corner and cry in shame for being so pathetic and ignorant, and accept being One Free Americas Hat.

I'll move to state that the Arrogant Worms do a good job of summarizing Canada.
Rick Mercer summarizes our Politics.
We're the behind the scenes guy who tends to back the states but disagrees on some of the finer points.

Canada is a major gaming nation actually. http://www.escapistmagazine.com/articles/view/issues/issue_208/6209-Pirates-of-the-Frozen-Wastes

It's obscure but not really a bad place to live. Also, they have a strange pathological hatred of America for some reason.
It tends to come from being overshadowed in the media. (personally) and we don't hate americans, we occasionally have a dislike though.

The world doesn't see Canada.

All it sees a an area north of the states that's full of woods and plains and shit, with occasional frenchish woodsmen and mounties wandering about on horseback.

Sorry, I call it like it see it. :ying:

OK, live in the Northern Midwest of the US of A, we see Canadians as awesome manly men, drinking beer, wrestling bears, eating bacon, getting laid, speaking with a dorky accent ('eh?), and totally kick ass with a beaver sidekick.

How else can we explain a guy with one leg running across your entire country?

Canada is secretly planning world domination.
they make a point of being so quiet and such, so that nobody would ever expect their nefarious plans.
it won't be long till we see several million canadians marching down the border with guns in hand.

obviously you havnt seen how shitty our army is to quote a comedian who's name I can't remember "all we have is a tugboat with a shotgun mounted on it... and I don't even think its loaded"

EDIT sorry for the double post >.>
Actually, if you compare the number of troops we have sent to Afghanistan as compared to our population we have sent a much larger ratio than the US... In fact, we have won pretty much every war we have been in. (most notably the war of 1812 (suck it america), and WWI(I) in which we were deployed as shock troopers to scare the Germans into retreat (no joke, look at the battles of Vimy Ridge, Passchendaele, D-Day and the liberation of the netherlands). In fact we kicked so much ass that the last 100 days of the war are known as "Canada's hundred days".

We have some of the best trained soldiers in the world, the reson everybody thinks we suck is because we spend only about 1.1% of our GDP on the military (133rd in the world) placing us 16th in terms of gross spending.

Dude, if we did that now it would 2 days to take over canada

With such a vast territory I would really like to see you take us over in 2 days... also with the freezing winters we got here we would most likely have a major advantage. Just remember that in great despair, small populations can do the impossible : Just look at iraq... you were supposed to go in there, swoop them off their feet and be done in 1 month... *cough* *cough*

But all this is pure bullsh**. If America , or any other country attacks Canada, we will have the big majority of the world backing us up. Why? Cause we help any country in need, we are pretty much neutral and let's face it... pretty much everyone else in the world hates the US.

The simple fact is that no one will attack us and it wouldn't profit the US to do so anyway. That's why we spend almost nothing in military expenses.

It's not because we are pussies or technologically retarded... it's cause we know better than to act like primitive cave men.

Edit: If you guys haven't figured out, I am Canadian, and Curious.
Aww. Well, I'm British and I love Canada in general. I'm glad America never annexed you - it would have been a sad day.
