The escapist is a global community, and I was curious to know how do the citizens of other countries see Canada, be honest.

Edit: If you guys haven't figured out, I am Canadian, and Curious.

Canada FTW

Then again, I'm from Canada so I'm a bit biased...lol

Seriously, I think the world probably sees us as laid back, kinda in the background. Maybe they see us as peacekeepers, or maybe just like some out-o-the-way country. I'm actually kinda interested to see what people think too.

We see Canada as a country made up of one third Mounties, one third Lumberjacks, one third Moose, all who play hockey, while a twirly-mustached undertaker ties damsels to traintracks

I don't think much of it, really, as I don't know a thing about it. I know that the creators of Unskippable are from Canada. I know that trade with Canada is very important to the U.S.

I've been thinking of doing some non-school studies on Canada, actually. It's a very close country to mine, and it makes me feel a little like a stupid, ignorant American that I don't know anything about it.

When i took a french class years ago and saw pictures of canada it looked like a nice place to go to.

Otherwise canada sounds like a laid back place not unlike some places in my area.

Oh yes and i love a few cartoons and shows from canada. Are You Afraid of the Dark to name one...

Well I was born in canada and been there enough times.

and overall it's a nice place. nothing wrong about.

When it's summer it's hot

When it's winter it's always a snowday

and lots and lots of other nice kinks like a great pace to go camping with a few friends.

so ya canada is all good.

I see Canada as a glorious nation filled with beautiful beaches, tropical weather, and a wonderful destination to get away from those cold winter nights. I just wish the citizens weren't so goddamn ugly and war-mongering.

I'm from Australia, and we seem to have the same holidays or some shit because we always run into you when travelling. I see you guys as generally a bunch of easy-going drunkards who are a little bit silly - which is exactly how i see australians which would explain why we seem to get along so well. Oh, except that you're a bit colder. We play field hockey, you place ice hockey. Nice place to live but not so exciting a tourist destination.
