just exactly what the title says, how much have you "gotten into" a game?

I have cried in a total of 3 games. 2 of them were Metal Gear (2 and in 4) games and the other was in Kingdom Hearts

Well...I write fanfic so I must be pretty 'into' a handful of games...
Not too much, but there have been numerous "aaawwww!!" moments in my gaming experience. Perhaps I'm too sympathetic towards some characters.

Sadly I can't really think of anything. I've never cried when some game character died or anything. I'd want to be able to though, that'd make playing games all the more interesting!

Most Final Fantasy game endings, I'm such a sap to them.
Gta 4 was quite emotional, I actually spent alot of time thinking who to kill and let live through-out the game.

MGS 4, ending of Uncharted and the sweet ending of inFamous... Not emotional like crying or anything (except MGS 4) but i really got involved and loved the character(s) in these games.

I have definitely let some tears flow at sad moments in games. There's not specific game, but a situation that always gets me is when one brave soul sacrifices themselves against impossible odds so that the others may live. Always bring some tears.

The sad Celes scene in FF6 when
you let Cid die
Was almost sad enough to make me cry.

I have yelled at Mario Kart so many times because it was evil to me, does that count?

MGS4 and COD4. I found both of them quite emotional, at the ends. COD4 more than MGS4 but it's close.

Hm. Well, usually when my characters die, I tend to be on the brink of shedding a few tears. Such as...

When your character dies in Fallout 3 ending. Or, when Shepard gets supposedly hit by a part of Sovereign and everyone thinks she died.

However, as anger is an emotion too, I can tell you I've got quite pissed at the damned rogues while playing Battlegrounds.

Can't remember when I last had tears of joy, though. Probably during Overlord II, when...

You face the gnomes for the first time, and one of them kills itself on your boot. Gnarl then goes "That is clearly an act of aggression!"

Only ever MGS4; When Otacon was explaining to Sunny that Snake wouldn't be around any more and again when the CQC hug happened (who remembers the credits and being uninterested, then seeing the name "Big Boss" and a voice actor?).

Really? I found myself hating my fellow soldiers in CoD4 and was overjoyed when they were shot.

For me, in the case of Lt Griggs that was true, but I was sorry when Cpn Price and Gaz died.

I take my being emotional with a game to be a good measure of the game's quality. While very few games have immersed me to the level of Tsukihime (had me in tears at various times for, oddly, various reasons), Fate/Stay Night, or Tales of Symphonia, I still get into most of the games I play.

Whether tears of horror during Tales of the Abyss (Akzeriuth), my throat constricting slightly at the end of Devil May Cry 3 (followed by elation), pure shock at the two major twists in both Baten Kaitos games...

It's one of the reasons I absolutely want to play Kana: Little Sister, but I know I absolutely must not, because it would destroy me.
