How excited are we all about the story for Dragon Age: Origins?

I recently read that instead of just choosing character, race etc. and get told what your backstory is, you get to play it. Now i know that it sounds a bit Fable-esque but from what ive seen on gamespot it looks alot more indepth and gritty than 'Here is a good choice, here is a bad one, how do you want to act' kind of thing.

I was already going to buy this game; but that sounds like a very good idea. Not only will you have some form of connection to characters, but your decisions will have very real consequences.

I understand its not the first game to do this, but its one of the first I've heard that lets you choose and then play out your backstory...

I'm pretty excited for Dragon Age, I have it pre-ordered already. I don't think BioWare has ever made a bad game.

Their only bad game is KOTOR2, but this is only cause it didnt live up to KOTOR. Their MMO looks good too.

Obsidian Entertainment developed KOTOR II, not BioWare.

And Obsidian was rushed to complete it on time and didn't get to finish. It could have been better than KotOR.

Anyway, I am excited by this game and will pick it up.

Sold! I read about this a few months ago but haven't kept tabs on it but after some browsing it looks gorgeous. Then again its BioWare, they've never steered me wrong with RPGs. Definitely gonna go for a mage... Now shall it be human or elf? Poverty or wealth? Oh the possibilities... I'm thinking a high born elf mage is most likely for me.

There's a story? That's news to me. From all their hype so far it looks like an action rpg with PG13 sexual content.

It looks like baldurs gate with revamped graphics which is AWesome. Anyway, yeah I'm excited it looks pretty cool, can't say I like their taste in music for some of the trailers though.

Very, very excited for Dragon Age: Origins. I like what the collector's edition is packed with and I think I might just skip on getting the Assassin's Creed 2 Collector's Edition and get the one for this game.

Besides; it's Bioware. Bioware has never disappointed me.

Bioware has always made games with top notch stories, i've been waiting for this game for awhile.

Plus if you buy the collectors edition you get a special item for Mass Effect 2, more goodies is always interesting.

I wanna make a dwarven mage. Just to create my own little paradox. if that is not a possibility then I will go with elven mage. Or human mage depending if it has good character customization features. Then I will make Raistlin Majere.

Why do I have to create my own damn Dragonlance Heroes of the Lance imitations?
