How good are you at MP games?

Ah, the subject of constant bragging amongst halo/cod/gears fan, the simple fact of how good you are.

I'm decent, personally. Probably my best game is halo reach, with my favoured modes being slayer/team slayer, with the occasional few rounds of firefight. Most of the time, I'm pretty good, but I have my moments of badassery.

As for other games, I'm pretty good at BF3, mostly due to experience, it being my fourth Battlefield game, I can occasionally thrive at gears 3, but put me in a fighting game or a sim racing game, and I recieve the beating of a lifetime. I'm also pretty good at space marine, but to be honest it's just one of those games that most people are bad at, so if you're even a little decent, you can do well.

I haven't had much opportunities to test my skill in strategy games, what with my primary gaming machine being 360, but in the few times I have...it didn't end well.

Depends, i'm a good RTS player, i consider myself above sub-par and its by far my most played and favorite genre. Men Of War, Company of Heroes, Hearts of Iron, Europa Universalis, Total war, WarGame, s'all good with me. They come naturally to me.

FPS i just kinda dabble in, i don't buy them but my little brother loves them so he gets the latest FPS games. To be honest i can't really tell some of the apart at times but i do like them, i'm just not that good. I like BF3, i can just pick the sniper class in a huge game, find a hidey hole and try my hand in sniping, i'm not a bad shot really. Red Orchestra is the Favorite of mine though. i also play ARMA for the hilarity.

I find i'm good at games like Magika online with others because i'm quite fast when it comes to remembering and typing the combos.

Not particularly great at competitive MP. The problem stems from the fact that I usually start playing the MP well after other players. After about an hour of playing, I get pretty tired of getting my ass kicked. I'm a pretty competitive person (kind of a sore loser, really) and I don't think it's particularly healthy when I get angry and worked up over a game.

As for co-operative MP, I'm always down for that. I absolutely enjoy teaming up with my buddies to take on AI opponents.

I'm top 10% maybe, I guess. I'm not pro but I can normally hold my own. It's normally just about how much you practice unless you have some unusual natural ability or disability. If you only start a new game then get your ass kicked then think you are terrible and give up you are not really testing yourself.

Haven't played much Halo recently, but gave as good as I got back then. Battlefield 3 just frustrates me so not that good at that game, but I can be an impact player in the call of duty's

Average I would say.I rarely get absolutely destroyed and I rarely absolutely dominate either.Tbh though I prefer co-op MP such as Horde mode in Gears

In FPS I can kill more than I die but I usually always end up on the losing team so it all becomes fairly pointless. When you and two other people are the only ones on your team to attempt an attack on an enemy objective you really start to question the point in trying.

I don't touch RTS multiplayer because the style of play they usually encourage doesn't interest me.

Average I guess. I prefer co-op games really and when I play competitive it's mostly just for having fun with a group of friends. I hardly ever play online by myself, it's just a drag.

I used to be absurdly good at Unreal Tournament and Counter Strike, to the point where people would demand I only use the starting weapon or they wouldn't play with me, and actually that made it even more fun, running head on into a hailstorm of rockets with no more then an Impact Hammer... glorious, especially since most people didn't know it can deflect rockets.
But that was years ago when I would just play same matches all day long.

Now I'm more of a slightly above average player, and these new unlocking multiplayer shenanigans are really starting to bug me because they just give more power to people who grind for longer, ***** I just want to jump in and have a fair match and not have everyone else with more firepower, health and equipment simply because they had more time to waste.

Oh and I thought I would be really good at RTS because I would just grind skirmishes and dork out over strategies on every map and every faction, but then I found out how things are played on the competitive level... 50% strategy and 50% finger bleeding, and I think that is just a complete bastardization of the genre, it's strategy games not fucking button mashers.
I simply wanted no part of that at all.

I'm one of the best CoD4/MW2 players on 360. I've been consistently dominating everyone for the last several years.

On the other hand, I am TERRIBLE at UMvC3. The online lag totally throws off my game and I can't adjust my combos at all.

I would say over all I'm OK.

I don't play a huge amount of MP. I used to be very good at both CoD2 and MW1, however, Black Ops was not a good game for me. Despite playing it for over 80 hours I never fully got to grips with it.

I like to think I'm fairly good. Not so much in traditional sense however, much more in the overcoming the disadvantage given to me in the way of nerve damage with strategy and making game mechanics work for me.

In the top 10% I guess. When I play an fps its rare that I don't get a 4:1 kill/death ratio. It hardly means anything to me, but I guess you do have more fun when you get on a nice kill streak.

Average to good, depending on the game and the genre. Except for fighting games. I'm terrible at those. Was top tier in TFC and HL MP at one point though, but that's a long time ago. I don't play a lot of MP anymore.

I tend to perform much better in co-op games. I don't let my ego get in the way of the team.

Depends on the genre. Games I'm fantastic at are Worms Open Warefare 2 on DS, Saturn Bomberman on the Sega Saturn and the odd other game here and there. I'm average at most other things. Of the 5 of my friends that I play with, I'm around 3rd best on Mario Kart DS. Others like my Dreamcast games, I tend to be the best, but maybe it's because it's my games.

I'm one step above being terrible.

I remember playing AC: Brotherhood's MP and sucking when I first started, and then after a while I got decent in it. Then after not playing that for months I went back and continued to suck.

Basically, if I don't play it enough then I'm not good and I die, a lot.
