I think I sound a bit average, I sing better in a low voice, like Johnny Cash (Although I can sing Judas Priest's Painkiller [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nM__lPTWThU]) I can sing metal vocals, as well.

Anyone could sing, they just need to find the right voice they're comfortable with. As for people who actually can't sing, well, there's still rap, right? Oh, and auto-tune. Unless you're also a mute.

I can't really "sing" that well, well I can, but I have a really small range, so I can do ok backing vocals, but mainly I'm good at deathcore vox:

That being I've got a really good low growl, high scream, and pig squeal

I'm one of those people who can't sing, yet absolutely loves to.

Much to dismay of everyone around him.
Agreed, i love singing but i sound terrible. Occasionally i know a song well enough to be perfectly in tune but i lack the voice for it anyway.

Offtopic: Ive been looking for a reason to quote you for a while because your avatar is the pinnicle of awesome.

Well... people SAY I don't sound half-bad, but I'm not really sure myself. ut should be at least decent, considering how much I sing in my car...

I'm quite horrible. I know this, which is why I don't sing unless I'm alone and really into the song.

Also, are you SURE you sound good? Or are you like one of the many American Idol wannabes who THINK they sound good, but truly sound terrible?
Like I said, I sound like a pro that's not very nice to listen to. I'm not completely sure how that qualifies as "good", I thought "good" meant "nice to listen to". I mean, when you hear me I sound like something you'd put on the radio, handling the tones like the pros, but the end result doesn't make for enjoyable listening and you'd probably change the channel.
You should look into some singing lessons, sounds like you've got the tonal range but not technique.

I myself sing in a band (well a band which is slowly breaking apart as we leave for uni but a band still), I'd say I'm good, not chart topping good, but possible one hit wonder/small cult following good. But I just love to sing for the enjoyment.

I am slightly above average. Also known as awful. Most people are just scary bad.

I personally don't think I'm that good but at a friends party I once got up on stage and sang Otherside by The Red Hot Chili Peppers. I got told I was quite good after that. I don't think I am.

I'm "British National Anthem" good. You know.."muuh muh muuh muh". Monotone, forget the words and just about get the right tune, but there's no need to worry because no one knows the British National Anthem, hell most people think it's Land of Hope and Glory.

I am in the middle of learning a more..metalcore-ish voice. I'll get back to you on that one.

Singing is one of my more recessive tallents, i've dabbled in a whole variety of styles (including but not limited to jazz and opera) and was even considering studying music and doing something with it professionally since i'm also an enthusiastic and charismatic actor (reeling the ego factor in...) but i decided not to, since it's my hobby. i think if you make a job out of your hobby, you don't get the same enjoyment out of it.

Also why I would never want to be a games tester for example :D
