How good is this laptop for games?

Now according to some people, this can run Mass Effect 3 on Highest (link provided)

Whereas some sites say the fps would be playable only on medium for most games.

My question to you is, as a guy who knows nothing of graphics cards and processors (outside of the intel I series), and a guy who is confused by all these reviews, How well can this laptop run games.

I mostly play valve games on my current pc, and CSGO runs on minimum setttings with a toned down resolution, so I was looking for a slight upgrade/laptop, and this one came up.

The only game Im interested in buying lately is Natural selection 2, reccomended specs here

Also, any alternative laptops for a similar price but better quality would be appreciated.

Don't game with laptops here is why: They break in 2-3 years overheat easily, batteries die, and not very powerful. You'll save more by going desktop. If you need a laptop just get a bare bones one for wal-mart to use for micro soft word and emails but don't use it for gaming imo.

I should add that this isn't a problem, I'll only be the owner of the laptop for a year, then my brother shall be buying it off me for around £280 (we've already agreed if I do get this) I also have a laptop fan my brother used to have, he has a sony vaio which he used for uni 3-4 years ago, and played counter strike source alot.

The battery thing, I could always take it out, or buy a replacement. Shouldn't be a problem

See, people use laptops for a reason. And that reason usually isn't "I'm stupid so I don't know a desktop will be optimal", the reason is usually "Hey, I move around a lot, so I really need something I can take with me."

Keep such thing in mind before acting as if everyone lives the same way you do and should therefore have the same set of priorities for their hardware; or before assuming people are stupid.

You seem really mad, you should relax.

Just saying when people ask about gaming on a laptop, there's usually a good reason they want information on laptops specifically. "Get a desktop instead" is simply not helpful advice.

I would note- and warn- that the graphics setup in the video you list is apparently with two GPUs running in tandem using Crossfire. The laptop you mention doesn't mention doing the same, and from what I can tell, FutureMark (maker of one of the more popular graphics benchmarking tools) doesn't seem to think too highly of the 7670M.

To summarize: it looks like the 7670M would play most games 1 year old or older, but definitely not on maximum settings.

It would appear that the 7670M actually scores significantly below the (non-mobile GPU) 5770 listed in Natural Selection 2's recommended specs (a 3DMark score of 1020 vs. the 5770's 2630). I'd note that this is a "synthetic" benchmark that might not reflect actual game performance, but it's still probably not a good sign.

7670m is about equivalent to a fairly low end desktop card like the Radeon HD 5570. It will run most games out there, but for the really demanding titles you are probably looking at minimum settings to get playable framerates. Don't expect great things out of a budget laptop, especially when gaming is concerned.
