I'm just plain terrible at stealth. If the game forces stealth upon me, where the enemies are giant mechs and I'm wearing cardboard, then yeah, I'll go stealth. But Splinter Cell...Splinter Cell Chaos Theory basically said, 'Right, you want the Tearoom Playset or the Chaingun-and-Rocket Awesome Set? The Awesome? Alrighty! Now, be very, very quiet...'philios82 said:First you feel like a badass for winning a mismatched fight, second the game gets easier because you've got a better gun. However in the original Splinter Cell I gave up on the first level because the guy in the house always spotted me. That game wasn't bugged and I don't know if it cheated but for me it was much too hard to be enjoyable.
Man, Tabuu was a motherload of unfair to fight. Say hello to instant-killing triple waves of frame-perfect dodge necessity.ShadeOfRed said:The Subspace Emissary is actually really hard on Hard. It being the middle difficulty, I go in expecting a nice challenge, not my ass beaten thrice by the first boss. I went down to normal, and then easy for Tabuu.
hey, there's one I haven't done, thanksthebobmaster said:Did you beat the original Ninja Gaiden trilogy?
I'm told Halo 3's Legendary was meant to be harder than Halo 2's Legendary, but I found Halo 3 to be much easier overall. Don't get me wrong, Legendary on 3 is a challenge, but I don't think it ever had me frustrated or discouraged. Halo 2 did.Eagle Est1986 said:No such thing as too hard! Didn't think Deus Ex was particularly hard either, except when I got stuck nearer then end with no ammo and little health.
Actually, Halo 2 Legendary might have been too hard, sometimes I wonder if there's actually enough ammo to kill everything....
you know, im the absolute opposite, i like to have plenty of ammo + the right weapon for the right job. i still like a fairly hard game but when the game throws a tank at me and i have a pistol it annoys me, the way i see it is that if a game is good enough it should make each encounter a test no matter what weapon you have.Spakkenkhrist said:I love it when games are stingy with ammo and good weapons, the desperation of being pinned down by an overwhelming force knowing you have to make your last few rounds count are usually some of the most memorable moments of games.
That's like an athlete giving up on a 100 metre dash because he didn't win the first time.some random guy said:Am I the only person here who doesn't like hard games? Call me crazy but I just don't find being really fustrated and repeating the same bit over and over and over again fun. Sure, it's rewarding afterwards but it just isn't worth the effort that went into it.
I've survived the instant kill waves as Zero Suit Samus by standing near the middle when I got hit (was at 0 damage before getting hit). I haven't tried this, but I think you might be able to dodge it by switching Pokemon when playing as the Trainer.propertyofcobra said:Man, Tabuu was a motherload of unfair to fight. Say hello, as well, to giant-size eye beams that CANNOT be evaded unless you're pit, Kirby, Jigglypuff or metaknight.
Oh, and a bunch of other attacks that basically will hit you on pure chance as opposed to your dodging skills.
God, he was a pain to fight.
