'Sup Scrubs!

Man I love playing video games in my free time. Sadly the experience gets lonely after awhile and that's when I break out the fighters and Co-ops with my friends and family.

I bring this up because my little sister and I never really got along too well and she never really liked fighters because I was a jerk and always had to win.
But I remember buying Resident Evil 5 a long time ago and remembered it had Co-op.
So I asked her to play with me.
Despite her reluctance she and I both eventually got into the game and started learning how to work better as a Team. She would handle the Melee and Close Combat while I sat back with the Sniper Rifle watching her back. I would only need the Shotgun, Handgun, and Sniper while I gave her the rest of the money to use. The whole experience was fun and I can't remember laughing so hard in so long
I just found it a bit heartwarming to know that a simple video game kinda built a better relationship with me and my little sister and even now she can come to me whenever she has questions as well, whether it be about Homework or life in general.

Nothing like good old fashion zombie killing to bring you closer together with the ones you love.

[HEADING=2] How have Games brought you closer together with someone?[/HEADING]

[HEADING=1]More Examples:[/HEADING]

- My Dad and I always love going at it in Classic Fighters and Madden
- Awhile back my mom and I loved playing Old Atari and Namco Games like Pacman and Galaga and then she'd whoop my ass in boardgames like Monopoly
- My sister and I started playing almost ever Co-op game I had like Altered Beast for Sega Genesis and Little Big Planet
- My friend and I started doing Let's Plays together of our fighting games

Well apart from it always being something I picked up from my brother (which is the reason why I can't remember what I first played, because even when I did play I watched him play a lot).

But that never really brought us close together. Just means I have someone to mutually complain about games with.

Lol damn dude. That's how I started out with games as well. My cousin would play while I watched.
Well hey if you ever get UMvC3, Mk9, or even Blazblue then hit me up sometime. Hell if I have to I'll even get counterstrike or TF2

Well, back in high school I was pretty much a loner (still am, for the most part), but I used to walk around at lunch time or whatever with this dude and we'd talk about video games and shit and formed a long-lasted friendship. Nowadays he is my best friend, nay, more like a brother really, so I'd say those lengthy conversations about games at school is what brought us together.

Yeah, my brother and I played Halo on co-op and played through Uncharted together. We don't usually get along any other time.

My brother and I have often played video games together, which has made us closer and given us something to do together. Growing up, it was the NES with two controllers. Nowadays, it's usually stuff like TF2 online.

Even though I often regret all my time playing it, I met several people in WoW that I became friends with in real life. Those friendships have outlasted my WoW infatuation and wouldn't exist without video games. I met my boyfriend that way, and we became much closer together when we started playing RPGs simultaneously and discussing them online as we played. I'm not sure if we would have gone past friends without games like Fallout 2, Planescape: Torment, Persona 3, and Tales of the Abyss making us realize how much we had in common.

My friends would all come to my house and play Halo 2, Rockband, and Diablo 2 all the time! If it wasn't for that we wouldn't be such great friends!

Games are the major social element of my life.

Unless we get together to play Magic, D&D or video games, I'll never see anyone else outside of work. So I guess gaming as a hobby is what gives me any social life or friends whatsoever.

Friends is an odd term though cause it would certainly fall apart when you take gaming out of the picture.

My brother and I have always been close because of gaming and magic though. It's been the single unifying part of our lives even though he's an outgoing social creature and I'm a anti-social hermit.

I do this a lot with my brothers or my friend.

Latest example is when my older brother got Persona 3 for his birthday and we all treat it like watching a movie together

Back in the sixth grade, i (because i pay attention) found out the passwords to the schools admin, and firewall systems. So i did what any kid would do(no, not porn), got class wide halo matches going. Good times. Because of this i practically knew half my grade, had to stop latter on, cause apparently using the assault rifle, with waves of enemies just bum rushing you, coming out just as your sheild recharges and you finish reloading is considered camping. Damn you brad and your shouting of 'YOU CAMPIN NOOOOOOOB'. Ironically the password wasnt changed.

*edited for bad spelling

Yes and no. While me and Mr. Boyfriend had fun with L.A. Noire, Skyrim will be the death of this relationship (he plays *FAR* too much, and I get hardly any playtime), and Legend of Zelda: Four Swords was a mixed bag.

But then again, it was our nerdy love of games that brought of together. *sighs and thinks back on a heavily altered, overly romanticized version of our relationship*

It'll be TF2 then, since I suck at fighting games and even then I'd have to buy them for the PS3. I own the original MvC3 and suck at it, barely managing to beat Galactus with a few characters. I own Calamity Trigger and I couldn't get past Hakumen as Ragna.

XD oh man you'd hate me then. I'm the type of jackass who knows Hakumens every move and OTG. Plus I'm so so in UMvC3.

we gotta go one round if you feel like getting UMvC3. Can't play MvC3 anymore due to the chars controls changed up a bit.

Still TF2 it is. Spy will be sappin your mother :p

Bad Company 2 brought me closer to my friends, even though in real life we had major disagreements, we'd always man up on a 4-man squad, one per class, and we'd own. Great times, can't quite say I'm still having them with BF3 though :/

I played through Portal 2's co-op campaign with my brother. Most of the time I was shouting orders at him. It was still fun though.
