I named my rival "Casual" and I like to think I'm doing the gaming world a favor every time I trounce him.

Also, calling my rival "a fag" in Pokemon Ruby nets me the phrase "I think a fag was looking for you. He ran off that way."

My main character, however.... other than playing OoT and naming him Metroid, I haven't done anything witty or abusive.

Just today I started a new file on Final Fantasy Tactics Advance and called Marche Jesus.

The first thing afterwards was Mewt saying, "Sorry, Jesus..."

I lol'ed.

I don't. That is mainly because I can never think of anything clever enough. I don't resort to curses for my naming.

I have Pokemon Snap on my Virtual Console (a fact taht I am only somewhat embarrassed to admit to) & I named my character 'Fucker' because I find it sickly amusing to watch Prof. Oak say "Hello there, Fucker!
I did a similar thing on a random run-through of the original Pokemon games. I named my rival "damn", so at the end when you beat him to become champion, Oak says "Damn, I'm disappointed in you"

So many people on Metal Gear Online abuse this, but its usually pretty funny. A mate of mine was permo'ed for naming his character "Niglet,"

Apart from this i remember naming my 1st Fallout3 character Dildo-Z.

In WoW I named my character "Your". Then I sat in the middle of Ironforge and did an emote that said "account is being banned in 30 seconds". Scared the hell out of everyone.

Eventually some humorless dick reported me for it. But it was totally worth it.
You sir deserve a medal....bravo.

I myself have named a male troll rogue Gobblecoque...still haven't been reported, though people have commented on how I was able to do that.

And during betas, I feel it's my duty to try and break things, so during the Champion's closed beta, I named several characters Pornstar, Tittigangbang, Gobblecok, Coquelover and Mistress Funbags

I made an Oblivion character, a Khajiit, and named him "Chester Cheatah." Misspelling was intentional; I played the game in tgm.

In games where my character has opponents/rivals, if those names are moddable I'll call them stuff like Cocksnot McGonigle, Gooberballs McGee, and similar combinations of silly first names and Scottish/Irish last names. It certainly makes Alpha Centauri more interesting.

"...and 'Fagballs' when I can't..."

te-he

It's funny since you should mention a Zelda game and Yahtzee, because my quote is a better example of both at the same time.

Anyway,

I named the rival in one of the pokemon games 'asshole' one time.

The Rival is permanently known as "A Douche" in any of my pokemon games.

I haven't done it recently, unless it's a game like rock band. My bands lead singer was named Fecal Grenade. I don't play online so it's doesn't matter if I use inappropriate name.

You rang? I don't do this. I had every opportunity, even in FFVII, but I didn't take it.
[small]So many choices, and I stuck with friend's names. How much of a trooper am I?[/small]

I've named my characters Mike Hunt, Dr. Hugh Jardon. I don't even want to get started on some of my Pokemon and final fantasy character names.

I always give my characters serious names...I'm no fun.
Me too... For some reason a silly name ruins the experience for me.
Same here. I generally try to take games somewhat seriously (unless of course they don't take themselves seriously). Immersion is an important part of the gaming experience for me, and having a character named "Douchebag McSporkrape" tends to frak that up a bit.

Extremely pompous synonyms of gross shit.

Like "Posterior Sniffiticus" or "Genititus Devourer."

I was playing Zelda: Phantom Hourglass and I decided to name the guy "blow job", like how Yatzee gave Commander Shepard the first name "Titti". that kinda thing, so lets hear it
I played Zelda: Link's Awakening once and called him Nobody.
I got all sorts of hilarious combinations like.
"Nobody reclaimed the wooden sword" or
"NOBODY! Help Me!"
Quite funny.
