I worked hard, helped people and was a good person. Then I realised this got you nowhere so I turned into a lazy evil bastard and I'm better off for it.

I've learned that true joy can be found in holding yourself above the less fortunate.
All this bullshit about "You're equal to everyone else".
It's a lie.

I'm still in high school, I've had a job (the same job) since entering said institution, and I'm actually working in school to get where I want to go.

So fuck whoever tells me that the homeless man who dropped out of high school is equal to me.

I became more intrapersonal.

Not really a bad thing, mind you.

I took TY, which is basically a year off between middle school and high school, and in 8 months I've become much more sociable, less tired, less stressed, and less worried about my future (not that I don't care as much, just that I've answered a lot of questions for myself).

I opted to do that too. Worst year of my life for a variety of reasons.
I guess I've become more misanthropic and settled comfortably into self-dislike.
I used to be an even more annoying little prick when I had some semblance of of hope.

I used to be anti-social and depressed. I've now learned to love life a bit more, gained a small group of dear friends, and a wonderful significant other. (I've also become quite lazy, but meh.)

Life is grand.

ive given up, the only thing now standing between me and a bottle of cyanide is a short phrase that goes "could be worse, you could be a slug".

also i now shockingly understand the appeal of school shootings. (if anyone is affended by that please note i am already being punished).
Your post about appeal in school shootings makes me want to not like you.
But you have the FSM as your avatar.

Come on man, just have faith in the FSM, he'll pull you through. Argh!!
There's appeal in a lot of things. You shouldn't not like someone just because they see where said appeal is. I see the appeal of anarchy, rape, genocide, murder, theft, school shootings, and religion. I support none of them and think anyone who supports anyone of them is either an idiot or an asshole, but there's still appeal.

Actually, I had a conversation with a friend about this very subject the other day.
And here it is:

[14:23] chaser dragoon: i sense something good coming
[14:24] chaser dragoon: you read my blog as i asked you to and
[14:24] chaser dragoon: like, the best thing about adam having a girlfriend
[14:25] chaser dragoon: is that when adam has a significant other adam grows largely more confident for one and for two
[14:25] chaser dragoon: adam's writing improves
[14:26] chaser dragoon: adam becomes a better writer because he has a far clearer mind when he is enamored by a certain female
[14:26] chaser dragoon: it makes no sense, perhaps, but it does to me
[14:26] Friendlyfriend: XD that could almost be poetic lol
[14:27] chaser dragoon: i just feel so good about everything
[14:27] chaser dragoon: because i have her; i don't have anything to worry about because i know at the end of the day i have her
[14:27] chaser dragoon: and for some reason
[14:27] chaser dragoon: i become a clearer, overall better writer
[14:29] chaser dragoon: like
[14:29] chaser dragoon: you read my blog that i posted on sunday
[14:29] chaser dragoon: i am proud of how that was written
[14:29] chaser dragoon: very proud
[14:29] chaser dragoon: i think i did well in writing it and like oh my god i dont know
[14:31] Friendlyfriend: the euphoria of the moment is strong in your mind ;x lol
[14:31] chaser dragoon: sorry, i am just so :-D
[14:31] chaser dragoon: and i feel the need to talk to someone about my bliss
[14:31] chaser dragoon: because, at the same time, my girlfriend is on her way to california

To be honest, it seems whenever I have am so important to anyone I feel the need to be better than I am normally.
I always change when someone has feelings for me though.
If I didn't have her I'd have not been too much different than I was a year ago.

I think I've become smarter and more tuned in with the world around me. Sadly, my average mood for the day has become a slight depression because of this.

By no means a grown up, but if my recent cynicism is any indication, I'm going to end up old and alone with a failing liver

Just thinking about the question makes me depressed.

I miss being a dumbass. At least I was always happy. Now I'm only happy in certain conditions, and if I start thinking about certain other things, those few situations that make me happy seem meaningless.

Damn.

I've gotten very skilled at certain things...but it doesn't make me a better person.

I've really overcome a lot of fears and apprehensions I had, along with the awkwardness I've always had around girls.

A lot of this is because last year I fought, and beat, Osteomyelitis (a bone infection of the skull), and after beating that...well, nothing else seems as threatening anymore.

In high school I was a angry at the world vampire obsessed (Anne Rice style) goth chick. Now I am disappointed in the world, play video games, wakeboard, and wear colors. College changes everything!
