Wow, long title right? So I personally love playing as a vampire, AND as werewolves. I think the werewolf was done right; but nobody can seem to perfect vampires. Now I have plans that make them, not overpowered, But balanced.

Anyways, I have a few tweaks as well as some ideas to make vampires better. Since vampires are not real, please do not get angry over how I follow the lore. Or post your own ideas, be helpful, maybe we could get someone to make a mod or something!

So my first idea is to make melee vampires. I have never seen a vampire fight with a sword. I see them fight with claws, or fists. So either could be done for vampires, and they get a boosting damage from it as well based on level, and it grows with you, but not making you too overpowered. Just good enough to battle enemies normally.

Second, while I'm on this subject, I beleive that vampires should be strong. I think that anyone who follows vampire lore would believe this as well. Soooo, Why not a chance % wise, to knock down like paralyzing palm in fallout. (don't hate me for referencing fallout in a Elder Scrolls thread) But a small chance, maybe 5% or 10% of knockdown. They get right back up, but its like a throw or something.

Now, I beleive that vampires are probably fast too. Maybe we should follow up on that.

Heres my idea; your SPRINTING speed, doubled, stamina, doubled. Vampires are fast, strong, and probably can run forever. Sadly that would be OP, so we don't want that. So when you run, like run, not sprint, you get no bonus. Or maybe just a BIT faster. BUT, when sprinting you move double the original sprinting speed for human, making you wicked fast.

I really like the idea of being weaker when in the sun. I think you should lose all benefits, but also get debuffed as well. Which may actually be what is already done, I didn't test vampire too much. But why not make the level time longer, maybe 3-5 days depending. Maybe a random chance to ascend to next hunger stage within 3 to 5 days. That would make it so it wasn't "Every thirty minutes I have to feed" Especially when you fast travel a lot. It seems to break the game if you get stuck in a town at final level vampire. So maybe that could be a good fix.

I'm really trying to put out good ideas. I think sun damage is a good idea, but it also ruins the game. The only fix for this would be to up the time it takes for a day to pass, and calculate properly how much "IRL" time it would take to get from point A to B. Which you are fast traveling in between. So night lasts longer, and day as well. I hate traveling and then suddenly being in the sunlight, Its such a pain, especially when you "ascend" to final level and everyone wants you dead. The powers help, but invis only works once per day, so getting inside is one thing, but if the people are awake you are screwed.

I'll add more ideas as I come across them, and feel free to use any ideas that show up in this thread as your own, I'm all for sharing. Please contribute if you think you could help.

Note* This is just an idea thread, I have no intention of making a mod to implement all these ideas, I don't have the time or the tools / skills to do this.

Thanks for reading guys.

Fixed best I could for grammar since apparently it offended some people

Duuuude actually learn to write and people might pay you heed. You weren't kidding when you said you like commas... You use them completely pointlessly. Half of them should be fullstops or just not be there at all.

For the record, that was a complete mess to read. On the other hand, I agree that vampires could do with some more unique buffs to make them more interesting but hey, that's what mods are for.

Sparkles and rather than reeling in terror, barmaids and bards throw themselves at you in glee. :D

... some rather awkward pile-ups may ensue.

Don't mention that, or you will have people start making Twilight mods in Skyrim.

Especially because there are Vampires and Werewolves in Skyrim, so Team Edward, and Team Jac....

No, must not give people ideas!

Since vampires are creatures of the night, they should get a special stealth attack when within melee range, it could be biting someone in the neck and drinking their blood, does a certain amount of damage and replenishes health. My character isn't a vampire so I don't know if you can actually do this.

I agree the vampires weren't done really well. I usually didn't realise I was fighting one until I saw the tooltip on the corpse.

Also I got infected on purpose, but it was such a drag and a chore having to feed all the time that I went out to find a dude who could cure vampirism. The powers you get are very unimpressive as well. Plus that you can only feed on sleeping people. I wanted to become a monster, but it felt more like having a disease.

I didn't find werewolves yet so I don't know what that's like.

Because typing with commas makes it unreadable right? I mean if its just a wall of text it makes the subject void, Right? You did try to contribute a little, but you mostly just insulted my grammar.

Do the companions quest line if you want werewolves. On another note, why can't we drain people while they are standing?

I am sure vampires in skyrim are just right for elder scrolls lore.

Incidentally best vampires in any game ever are in Vampire the Masquarade: Bloodlines which is also a great game. So if you want to play a game that is all about being a vampire I would really suggest that game. Since you didn't think anyone can perfect vampires.

Get fan patch though.

Very nice. I'd like you to type perfectly in say finnish assuming it isn't your first language, and then I can mock your commas just for kicks.
