he's obviously smarter than you because there's no way you could possibly beleive that he was serious.

Or he's just that talented in keeping worthless bullshit out of his head and remembering the stuff that actually matters.

Yeah. So, trolling, or a genuine example of the incredibly low standards for making it into 8th grade honors classes?
Ohh. I see what you did there. :)

I can't believe you feel the need to ask such an obvious question. I hope they don't find out about your post or you're going to get trolled even harder. Got to hand it to those kids. They've found a way to make the boring education system fun and entertaining. Probably some of the smartest kids you'll ever meet, I suggest you learn all you can from them.

I think some complete morons can get good grades, just mostly remembering.I think knowledge is different then Intelligence. Knowledge is knowing stuff, like when super man and spiderman comics were made, as an exaple from the first post. Knowledge is learnable, meaning almost anyone can gain it. Almost anyone can learn about Comic books and tape worms, but intelligence I think is almost unlearnable, it is pretty much common sence, and to easily see how things work , and to be able easily comprehend what is told to you. Or to just pick up a definition from google " Intelligence:the ability to comprehend; to understand and profit from experience"
now one for Knowledge "the fact or condition of knowing something with familiarity gained through experience or association" That is just knowing something that is told to you
Schools mostly test knowledge, but call it intelligence. Hope you can read the mess I just wrote.

Tests in school don't test your intelligence, just your ability to retain and regurgitate set information.

You can do amazing at tests, yet still be thick as shit and an inconvenience to those around you because of it.

I'm in an honors class (with a 98.4 average, last marking period) and even /I/ don't act that stupid. I think logically, with facts, and if I'm trying to argue with somebody, I take their point into consideration and if I know something else, I'll state my mind. But that dude is trolling. Even I know that the printing press was invented over a few hundred years ago, and that tapeworms don't produce silk, they're parasites that feed off of your body...

You should go ask him if there's other countries besides America, because he seems to talk about Bush a lot...

EDIT: I also know kids in my honors class who smoke, are sluts, are just flat out stupid, do drugs... yeah. We're supposed to be the top honors class in my school.

Also, and here's a funny story, my English teacher can't spell. She has to look in the dictionary for words we can all spell. I also think she might be on something, because a day we had off, she said she went to the mountains (and we live in New York City...), she gave one of my friends a D for finding 24 words on a crossword puzzle and some other person a B for getting 19 words on a crossword puzzle...

If I had to guess, I'd say both. But he's definitely trolling you.

Just from the OP, I'd say he was being an ass. But then again, I don't have the whole story.

Also, I do this to people all the time, especially when the situation demands I fake insanity.

Having no common sense doesn't mean you can't do good on standardized tests.
And people WITH common sense realize that honor classes are a complete waste of time, as is most of high school.

I wouldn't say that honor classes are a waste of time.
I mean, if you take them in your first years of high school they can be somewhat helpful in preparing you for the AP courses that you might take.
And I wouldn't call high school a complete waste of time. You still take classes that will influence your major in college, and you still take classes that you will need.
It is just too broad, in my opinion.

Being in an honors class does not mean you're exceptionally intelligent, and not being in one does not mean you are of average intelligence. It's just a class, and studying your math to a reasonable degree is usually enough to get into it. Being good at a subject does not make you intelligent, gifted, etc. it just makes you skilled in that field.

In all seriousness though, there is a kid in my AP World History class that thought that Lutherans worship Martin Luther.
And he was SERIOUS.

Yeah...
