Okay, at school today, one kid asked me if The Spider-Man movies came first or the comic books did. I told him that the comics came first, and that they've been around since at least the 1960's. He said that I was wrong, and that the printing press hadn't even been invented then. Now, you're thinking that that's probably as bad as it's going to get. It isn't. I then told him that the Printing press was invented hundreds of years ago, and was one of the things that started the renessiance. He said that I was wrong, and that the printing press was invented in the 1980's by George W. Bush. He also claims that Bush invented tapeworms, which he believed produced silk, which he believed was used to make paper. And this kid's in all honors classes. Not only that, but he, somehow, has better grades than me. When I finally convinced him that the Spider Man movies came first, he then said that the Superman movies came out before the Superman comics. I pointed out to him that Superman was the first comic book superhero, and that his first comic is from the 1940's, and yet again, he went back to Bush inventing the printing press and tapeworms. Him and his friends are constantly saying stupid things, asking the teacher questions that were answered by what they just said, asking the teacher questions that someone else had just asked, and a variety of other stupid things, so I have no clue whether they're being serious, or if they're just trolling. Yeah. So, trolling, or a genuine example of the incredibly low standards for making it into 8th grade honors classes?
