Wow. Am I the only one who's bored by the game?
I'm pushing on just because it's an old treasure of mine and something I've been looking forward to for so long. I refuse to accept being bored by a Zelda game!

It is pretty boring thus far, I just figured that it would get better given the review scores.

I've reached Eldin. It's still not fun. Simply not fun. What is wrong with me? :(

Not even to the first dungeon yet. When I play it again later today I have to get past that deku plant. I wonder if all the enemies in this game are only challenging because they are based on the gimmick that is motion controls (ie, you have to swing the sword a certain way or you do no damage). If that's the case this is going to get old really fast.

The game feels dated. Which is sad, because I felt the same way with Twilight Princess. Not that it matters, but I think Voice Acting should not be a fear when your making a game. But Zelda has formula. The dungeons don't feel like copied pasted versions of Ocarina of Time. Ok I should say not all of them. It is the second best game released on the wii this year.... :S ok thats not saying much.

Ok bottom line, I just didn't like it, and I would only recommend it to the Zelda Die-Hards. (MY OPINION SHIELD)

Hyrulian voice actors are hard to find.

Same day shipping means god damn same day shipping. No wonder the USPS is dying.

Ugh. I get you man. Just wait till you get the bug net catcher thingy. That will be a blast for you, I kid you not. By blast I mean annoyance and frustration.

Maybe it's because I'm too close to the tv, but I find the controls a tad finicky. That said, they're certainly worth it, as they open up much more interesting combat possibilities: every single enemy needs to be attacked a certain way, so you need to plan your attacks.

I've just finished the first boss fight now, which was great. I haven't really felt challenged by a 3D zelda game since Majora's mask, but this is definitely bringing back the need to really think about how you fight. It's great.

Plus the graphics are fantastic for the wii; there's some very clever use of depth of field, blur, and the textures are often kind of washed looking, so instead of looking low quality, it looks like a watercolour painting. It's a very neat way of getting around the limitations, like wind waker before it.

They didn't use cell shading in Wind Waker to get around the Gamecubes weakness. The Gamecube was more powerful than then PS2.

I just got it from Beetles Shop. Haven't used the net yet, bought it because the guide said to and quit. A hour or two at a time is about all I can handle so far.

That tightrope walking stuff, they didn't even tell you how to balance, I fell off 3 or 4 times before giving in and opening the guide. I didn't really want to do that on the first playthrough. That picture of the viimote at the bottom of the screen makes sense ONLY after you learn that you should hold the wiimote upwards.

I know it was. But Wind Waker still looks great now is what I'm saying. It was really taking full use of the hardware, without pushing the realistic-grafix-r-us department.

i don't have the game but apparently this might help
http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/blog/28472
it mentions of sun light? may interfere with the motion controls and a solution.
i plan on buying the game at some point and i am a zelda fan so i have high hopes but still skeptical at the same time

i have heard great things about it, and i want the game i really do..

but i hate the wii controls, i really do. i might eventually get skyward sword, especially if they add classic/gamecube controller support, but until my huge backlog of new games goes down skyward sword just wont be much to me other than a deep sigh..

still, besides the controls, it looks nice, the story seems tighter, and the zelda formula held up good..so what's not to love?

It is an awesome game. I have only played a little bit at a friend's house but I can not wait for it. I pre-ordered it and I am waiting by my mailbox for it to show up.
