I dunno honestly. Pretty long probably. Like 2 years ago I wasn't doing very well in school so I punished myself by only allowing myself to play games on the weekend.

I have been grounded for 6-7 months at a time so I think I could go a full year or so.

It really depends.
If I have infinite novels and series to read and watch with no way to just 'give up and play' probably quite a while, though likely unhappily. (Though if that infinite novels was the rest of Kingkiller then oh boy happily)

If there was an 'I quit' button that gave me games back then a couple hours maybe.

However long i'm in class and however long i'm in the gym or at work. The rest of the time i'm playing something. TBH the last thing I use my iPhone for is for phone calls, once i'm home, it's on to the PC.

I regularly go a few months in between playing games...i only have time to play the real standout titles these days, and they come at increasingly large intervals

young dude i haven't played a game in almost two months if not longer... just you wait till edumacation und vûrk starts taking up all your time..... pretty much only play when i am absolutely sure i have no other responsibilities, i compensate by playing games all day and all night when said rare opportunities present themselves
This is actually why I brought it up. I'm heading to college after summer so I was thinking that I wouldn't have time for games anymore.
you wont have time at all..., your life will consist of lectures, re-runs of family guy and parties on odd days.... and the internets of course

I grew up without video games (and i was born in the 1994, so i'm not some old geezer). So when the apocalypse comes and games are no more, after the video game withdrawl was over i would be fine.
Short answer: i could live my life with them
