How long have you been a gamer?

I started playing when I was three years old. So that sets my start at about...roughly '98 so that sets my time as a gamer at eleven years. For curiousities sake the first game I ever played was DOOM on our old computer (yes, when I was three years old. My Dad had a copy of the game and he would sometimes set it up for me and my sister to play). I got my start on the PC playing through (Or at my age it was more like occasionally taking part in a game whilst spending much a time on my fathers lap.

Excuse me, but are you me?! I remember sucking at Doom. I seriously couldn't get past 1-3.

I can't say that I remember my first, but I'm pretty sure it was Zelda. Come on, think with the mind of a 3 year old. It's a shiny gold cartridge! ZOMG!
