OH MAN I LOVED THAT SHOW!!!
I was so sad when their contract ended :'(
They made videos afterwards on their own website, but since they had other work and couldn't realy focus on the show wholeheartedly, there were only about 15 or so episodes after they quit on the Escapist.
Good times...

The joined date says over 6 years but it actually been longer than that.

Like many others I was on the same boat when Yatzee made a post on his YT channel that he had joined The Escapist. From there I became a lurker and took a while to eventually joiuned. I don't know why I lurked so long cos there were many interesting post worth commenting back then unlike the recent times.

A friend of mine introduced me to Zero Punctuation in late 2008. I started viewing other stuff on the site round about December '08/January '09, and eventually made an account to take part in March Mayhem 2009. So 7-8 years.

Yeah, that was a shame they didn't go on for longer. On the bright side Doraleas and Associates went for like a whole other season after it left the escapist, wrapped up the story.

Man, I miss a lot of the old video content. Good times indeed.

Started visiting around the time Zero Punctuation did the first Assassin's Creed game so around 2008.

I probably stopped visiting for the most part around 2013-2014 as by then the attitudes and massively increasing userbase made the forums a bit unbearable. Now coming back here I see that it is virtually dead. It was never this quiet back when I joined but I feel like there were more than a handful of prolific and interesting posters that kept me visiting the forums. All of which are now gone.

I would be genuinely amazed if anyone knows me anymore. About the only people in this thread I recognise and remember interacting with are Zombie_fish and Scarim Coral.

A friend online introduced me to Zero Punctuation in 2012. I think the first new episode of it after I started visiting was "The Amazing Spider-Man". I began browsing the forums at the start of 2013, and then I signed up when it says I signed up.

I discovered zero punctuation some time in early 2009. From there I got hooked on the other great shows that were on here at the time: Unforgotten realms, there will be brawl, unskippable...I may have forgotten some. The reason I made an account was so I could vote in march mayhem, and since then I've been reading all the interesting threads on the forums, and occasionally popping my head in to give my two cents.

I was in secondary school then. Now, I have a degree in computer engineering. I watched many fantastic shows come and go over the years. I saw waves of funny & interesting people build up their reputations on the forums before getting bored and moving on (I miss Jack & Calumon) or being banned forever.

All these moments will be lost in time. Like tears in the rain.

Well I made an account in November 2008 and I presume I was hanging around for a few months before then... so, fucking ages, I guess.

I'd say for something like eight or nine years. I mostly just lurked for a while before joining.

Quite a while.

It's very rare that I have seen someone with a join date earlier than mine (not impossible but my assassins will find them eventually...) and even then, that's when I created a profile, not when I first started. I don't know for certain when I actually started but I know I was watching Zero Punctuation before I signed up.
I don't wanna be the 2008 to point it out but two 2007's have posted in the thread now. Sorry bud. </3

OT: I lurked for a while before. Then made an account but didn't really post much until probably 2009.

I consider anyone after 2011 the "new generation". *shakes walking stick*

Since Zero Punctuation's Halo Wars video. Since then, watched a whole bunch of ZP, Extra Credits when they were around, Unforgotten Realms, when that was still around (and still existed), Critical Miss, and the forums.

Sure, the Escapist has lost a lot of good contributors, but at least it is still my main go-to site for news and non-game specific forums.

A few months before my join date, Zero Punctuation like most above me but I honestly can't remember the first video I ever watched.

So something like November/December 2010 I guess.

I came to the site in 2008 after seeing a clip of Zero Punctuation on X-Play when G4 was a thing. I created my account in '09 and made my first post in a thread about why Halo gets so much hate. Comedy gold, this. [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/9.115610-Why-so-much-hate-for-Halo-in-particular?page=5#2145197]

A friend of my brother showed me Zero Punctuation in the summer of 2009. It wasn't until the March of next year though that I returned to the Escapist to watch some more ZPs and stumbled onto the forums by chance. The rest is history.

I've been coming here almost daily since 2007 or 2008. I loved reading the sarcastic replies of the big douche posters of the time, and the shows were awesome. ZP, MovieBob before he got real preachy, Unforgotten Realms, Apocalypse Lane, There Will BE Brawl, man I loved them.

Didn't join until a few years ago though.

OT: The benefit of the join date is that it's usually a pretty good indicator. Not always, as people have already exemplified that they don't typically create accounts when they first visit the site, but I guess it might depend on your definition of "coming to" a place. I suppose technically, people who pop by on Wednesdays for Yahtzee can be considered to be "coming" here, but I feel like that's the same as saying you go to Starbucks every day to get a coffee. You're there, but nobody knows you or anything about you, and you're generally gone again five minutes later.
Yes, but as the join dates are obvious, I took it as more meaning when you actually started visiting. Well, that and the first post specified the difference.

As such, I started coming here sometime in 2008. Don't know when for sure, but it was because of Zero Punctuation. Probably worth noting that while I came here for ZP, what got me to sign up was LRR. Well, Unskippable. I love Graham and Paul, but hate the rest of them.

Cam, please forgive me!

Clearly an elaborate forgery created to throw us Old Ones into question. We all know that there was no such thing as 2007.
