God, I have been playing video games for as long as I can remember. I can't say for certain, but I think my first game was Super Mario Bros. back in... 1989? Maybe? I played that and Duck Hunt, obviously. My parents' friends had a Sega Master System, so I rocked that, too. I also played old-ass DOS games on my dad's Tandy to start with and moved on to Windows 3.1(1) games. My parents bought a Genesis and I moved on to Sonic and my computer got a little bit of an upgrade so I moved on to Doom. My Aunt and neighbour had a SNES. My computer upgraded again and I had Duke Nukem 3D and TIE Fighter. I got a Playstation, my neighbour got a N64 and my buddy got a Dreamcast. Then I got a PS2 and my buddy got an XBOX. So and so forth to where I now have a PS3, 360, DS and PSP and have played pretty much every major console and handheld iteration and PC games at several different technology levels.
Say what you want, but I grew up playing PC, console, and handheld games side-by-side. I don't care about gaming platform politics.
I just want to play games and have fun and have been for over 21 of my 25 years.
