I've done all nighters before. I did one in the holidays, just a week or two ago. I'd finally finished my assessments, so I rewarded myself with some game marathoning.
If you don't count things like breaks, eating lunch and dinner with my family, briefly going out to the shops or multitasking while gaming, then that was basically a thirty-six hour session (though, again, not an uninterrupted session, but easily thirty-six hours, if not slightly more, without sleep), since I knew it would take at least forty hours to finish the game, and I wanted to get that done before I went back to uni.
Mind you, I don't do this regularly. I usually go to bed early and wake up early, at least these days, and get a good 8-10 hours sleep every single night. Doing all night gaming sessions as a regular thing really isn't healthy. I should know. The sleep problems I had when I was a teenager just caused all sorts of trouble for me, although they were entirely unrelated to gaming, and were just as bad even in the several years where I played no games at all. Now that I actually have normal, regular sleep patterns, I've honestly never felt better. So, yeah, just a word of caution; staying up all night gaming isn't really something we should take pride in, because it's not a particularly positive or healthy habit.
