Uhh...a good few days at least.
I think one bad night involved me staying over at my (then) girlfriends, and some construction going on outside which meant I got no sleep...then I had football the next day so I drank some Redbull and took some pro-plus...didn't sleep for 3 and a bit days.

I made a vow never to go in a basement again after I heard the Fritzl story.
Never know who's gonna be down there! 0.o

About 36 hours.
It helps that I sit in a bed. Not being able to fall asleep tends to make me either extremely pissy or extremely hyper. It's not a nice feeling for me.

KILL IT!!!

Welcome, Newbie.
Someone may be along shortly to give you the proper welcome speech, which is ripped from the first Bioshock and just replaces a small amount. Just a few tips, don't troll or flame, ignore the corpses under the stairs and whatever you do, don't go down to the basement. No one really knows what is down there, only that those have gone down have never returned. Well, they have, just minus an arm. And a leg. And a head. And most internal organs...
Anyway, I begin to ramble now.

I welcome newbies like yourself with a singing clam.

Enjoy your hopefully long stay here.

EDIT: Sleek, you ass!
I haven't scared a newbie in ages! *Grumbles*

Two days gaming with my friends I think. I suck at staying awake. Been to some movie allnighters as well and I always fall asleep during those things no matter how hard I try (note: I don`t drink coffee).

48 hours. Mostly because I couldn't be bothered sleeping coupled with lots of coffee and a marathon of Horror movies.

I lol'd at that Clam for a long time.
Also, I've stayed up for about 2 days attempting to clock some games, such as various Final Fantasies.
Time well spent obv

Well I've managed to stay up for around 80-hours or so once, when I was still in school and skint, therefore couldn't buy any coffee or energy drinks.

Since then... Probably 50-60 hours is as long as I can go without really feeling it afterwards.

I usually stay up for 20-21 hours per night though, so with proper preparation, I could probably do another 80 hour craziness if I had to.

Well, according to medical science you 'can' technically go insane after more than 3 days without sleep. As for death? No way. It was draining, yes. And the first 2-3 days of staying awake were most certainly the hardest, but at no point did I feel like I was about to die. Around day 5ish, I started seeing these trails of black shadowy smoke that were constantly floating through the air. You could see through them, but they were certainly black. Shadows moved and flickered and jumped quite often. On day 7, I was looking at a window at night, and I saw the reflection of my face, turn around until I could see the back of my head. That's when I decided to go to sleep.
Im....scared....spooky...Urrrmmm....Ok

Annnddd I think it was 50odd hours, but now ive been inspired to stay awake for a week for some reason, must get supplies!!!

48 hours. I don't even know why I was up. Spent the entire time reading books and comics. Went through phases of "not caring" to "I hate this place" to "woah... energy bomb" and starting over. Everything got harder and harder to do and having a conversation was unpleasant. I like the peace and quiet I get when everyone else is asleep.

Heh, it was fun while I was doing it. Once you get beyond the first 3 days or so, it becomes very very easy. Otherwise, you're relying on catching your next wind and dragging ass in places. (Keeping busy helps). To be honest, I could've stayed up longer, I just figured that I better sleep before I couldn't tell reality from hallucination.
Ohhhhh sounds like funky town! Im wondering if I should do during a school week or holiday
