How long should it take to finish a game WITHOUT being called a freak or a nerd??

I recently bought Prototype, and within a week, I had finished it. My brother calls me a freak and says "There was no point in buying it if you're just gonna finish it"
So my question to you good people is, how long should it have taken me?

Do me a favour? Punch your brother for me. Thanks, lol, although that is what brothers are for. I dont know, it really doesnt matter how long or how little you take as long as you enjoyed the game.

I did. Prototype is INSANELY FUN!!
I'm still playing it...even though the story mode is done.....but I'm a freak

hey I beat BioShock in 3 and a half days. the guy at Gamestop couldn't believe me when I came back in to trade it in so soon. IMO, it depends on how much free time you have on your hands. For instance, I was on Spring Break when I got BioShock.

got to agree with xmetatr0nx on this one. A game is for fun, doesn't mean it's automatically going to be a challenge. I finish most games within 3-7 days of getting them, not 100% completion (I'm not into that) but I get to the bit at the end where the names go past within that time. Just because I finish quick it doesn't mean it wasn't good or I shouldn't have bought it. I have fun playing it. But that begs the question, are games getting too samey that we can pick up a game, complete it in a short amount of time and do the same with the next?

A week is pretty good in my book, I hate those games that only last 2 days. It sounds like he's just jealous because he sucks at games.

HAH! That made me laugh.
It doesn't when everyone at your school hates you coz of your hair style and taste in music...and the colour of your shoes.

Once again, the line is how much you're willing to care.

If you finish a game in three days, then it's either so short a game as to be a ripoff, or you're simply too good for it and need to start playing (for example) Japanese arcade-style games instead. Western games are generally easier, with some exceptions of course.

Your Brother is just messing with you, that's what brother's do. They like to Joke around and complain about things that you do and things you have. I guess he loves you but doesn't want to show it off. so he nags. If he smiles while he complains something about you then it's all cool.

e.g. Brother thinks his Music tastes > Your tastes.
Brother jokes and says He's going to get laid first not you.

although if you have a brother who swears at you for most of the time then he's got a problem..

Did it ever occur to you that your brother is jealous? Seriously, there's nothing wrong with finishing Prototype in one week, it's not that long. You are not a freak or a nerd, at least not because of that. Your brother might be incompetent, but that's another story...
