I'm fairly sure I've rounded the 24-hour mark during a summer vacation back when I used to play World of Warcraft.

I still regularly spend quite a few hours on gaming daily though. 8+ hours isn't uncommon during the weekends :p

If I could keep track of the time, it wouldn't be a long gaming session.

One hundred years.

Then I was past the tutorial section of FF13 and I kinda lost interest. I think my phone rang or somethin'.

A friend and I both got colds in high school (boarding), so we spent 3 days huddled in one of our rooms, playing Day of The Tentacle, and a one of the LucasArts titles. Except for (not enough) sleep, that's all we did for 3 days. Even being sick as a dog, it's one of my happiest memories. I love games, and I do love single player games, but my happiest memories of games are playing in the same room, with friends.

I also played RE4 when it first came out, with a very good friend at the time. I don't know how many hours exactly, but it was a lot, over many days. We unlocked EVERYTHING, absolutely everything.

Not much nowadays but longest I can remember is about 20 hours a day for 5 days straight. Think it was on the Warhammer MMO also had similar sessions with FFX and WoW. Dont think I could go much more than that without sleep to be honest it tends to mess my eyes up and make me feel sick.

61 hours and 27 minutes. Probably a little longer than that, but when Final Fantasy 3 came out and I had an extended weekend from school off, I set straight out to try and beat that bad boy. I came close, though, got to the god statues before Kefka, but I couldn't go on another minute. Sleep beckoned.

Best gaming session of my life, that.

I did 24 hours once, for Extra Life. My friend bitched out because we didn't get enough Twitch viewers, but I championed on with it, even with my shitty internet speeds. I downloaded some streaming software, and started to stream some Assassin's Creed 3 at a glorious 360p, for another 5 or so hours, until I hit that 24 hour mark.

I'm sure I've played 8 or 10 hour days on various games; Dragon Age, Elder Scrolls, Borderlands come to mind.

But the longest gaming session I've actually seen was on 11-11-2011, when my roommate picked up Skyrim. He got first crack at it, since he owned the game and technically the PS3 as well. So the two of us and my brother went out at about 7:30 in the morning to buy it, which was just shocking as my friend had a routine of staying up until 3am and waking up after noon.

We brought the game back, he booted it up at 8am, and then it was almost midnight when he finally turned it off. 16 hours, and We got pizza for lunch and dinner, we got beer, we explored and made group decisions together. Even though I didn't even play, it was a memorable day, just the three of us getting absorbed into a new game together. I miss days like that.

Not really sure but me and my cousin played through Dead Island Riptide in one sitting, so maybe 12-13 hours or so. Not really proud of it considering the game...

Actraiser. Bought it by mail, started playing it around 8am when delivered, put it down 12:30am the next morning upon completion. Barely ate or went to the toilet.

A truly amazing day.

I think 10 hours of drums in Rock Band 2. Three words and a number: The Endless Setlist 2. Over 80 consecutive songs of increasing difficulty (from "Eye of the Tiger" to "Painkiller"). Yeah, a painkiller is just what I needed after that...
I did this on guitar, but I'd never do it on drums. I get really bad shin splints after playing Painkiller even once. Professional drummers must have beastly lower legs.

OT: I think I spent a good 14 hours playing a mod for Warband once. Not really surprising though seeing as the people who love this game often sink over a thousand hours into it.

I think it was close to 16 hours when the first total war rome game came out. Closely followed by a 10 hour session in Mount and Blade.

When Bioshock Infinite's third dlc Burial at Sea: Part 2 came out, I decided to beat it on a single playthrough. It took me around 3.5 hours and I have not played any games that long ever since
I just gotta say, that is absolutely adorable! 3.5 hours! I just want to pinch 3.5 on its fluffy little cheeks! Maybe give it a belly rub!
Wow, I get 3.5 hours on a Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate run. My LONGEST run was twenty four hours(including the occasional bathroom break) and it was for the original Fable.

Hmmmm.... I don't have an exact number, I'd guess like ten hours or so straight at the max. Most likely playing a Bethesda game.

26 hours of Everquest during Planes of Power, starting with farming bow materials in the morning, then 16 hours of raid - every major God and their counterparts in Plane of Time. It ended at about 8:00 in the morning with the death of Quarm - this guy.

I spent 20 hours playing NBA jams when I was a kid. How'd I do it? No idea, but I did. No eating. Only leaving to use the bathroom when absolutely necessary. I mastered the pee pee dance that day. When I finally ate, after my grandmother threatened to send me to Haiti, the food... didn't sit well with me.

Now-a-days I play video games in small bursts. I prefer to spend my time reading comics or books.

46 hours for Mass Effect 2. Insanity on release, oh boy, what a blast. From start to wrapping up the Collector Cruiser in one go, with every side quest and research done up until that point. I was so hyped for that game, I watched the launch trailer on a daily basis since it aired...

I doubt I'll ever get invested in gaming like that, which is a bit sad, but such is life.

When Skyrim first came out I think I played for 60 hours straight. (Not counting bathroom breaks and getting the door for delivery.)
Afterwards I told my then-girlfriend I wasn't feeling so great, entered a half-asleep daze, was helped over to my bed, and entered a state indistinguishable from a coma for 16 hours. (Couldn't achieve my life-goal of a 24 hour sleep)
I have never done anything so extreme since.
