I would guess for next 5 years it will be around, as many are addicted to this game and probably a new game will be developed in the course time to start new addiction !!

Now that Taurens can be Paladins and the entire lore of the game has been spat on by its own developers... It wont be long until the real players of WoW quit and leave behind all the idiot 12 year olds who run around spamming 'holy cow lololol11'

Oh and Alliance now have the Worgs and we got goblins.. one more way to piss on us horde.....

There are at least two more expansions slated, so there will continue to be new content until at least 2014-5. That's a five-year business plan that was leaked though, so that's hardly expected to be the final expansion. To answer your question more directly, as long as it's profitable to continue to operate servers and develop/release new content. Considering Blizzard Activision makes more money than Jesus off WoW, I'd expect it to be around for a very long time.

Great time, just wait for the WotLK battle chest to get released so you're not dry-humping yourself out of $40-60. Cataclysm revamped all 1-60 content and it's the beginning of a new expansion cycle, so there are lots of new and rejoining players making new characters. The new content is pretty awesome and it is very noob-friendly.

By this question I'm assuming you mean the 80-85 content. Yeah, it's really good.

Oh, quit crying. The game doesn't exist in a vacuum where things never change and lore is static. One of the central themes in the content releases is that times change and races and factions adapt. IMO, the lore behind tauren priests and paladins is some of the best-fitting, most appropriate and welcome Blizzard's lore team has thought up so far.

Ok Ok Warty! Well when you put it like that, 'green midget pimps' does sound a bit better than Emo. But I.....dunno. Worgen still dont fit in with the cutsie, happy, lardy-dar that is the Alliance. Can we agree with that? Then again.. Blood elves didnt help horde much either except more self obsessed RPers shagging in woods.

Worgen are basically Alliance Werewolves, who have to risk their own neck every single time they walk out the door with uppity Human a-holes who will give the order to kill all Worgens at the drop of a hat if there's any signs they start going 'feral' or leaving the Alliance and it's BS...

Yes, I've played the first 6-7 levels of Worgen stuff in Cata, I'd rather go back to being a Night Elf!

Untill Blizzard make a better MMO, drop WoW, or someone else makes a better one that's free - and advertise it properly.

Well, ok, probably not forever, but it's going to take at least another decade for the 11+ million playerbase to die off. Especially considering Blizzard has at least another expansion or two planned.

EDIT: Sorry, I didn't see the other questions in the OP. I read the title and immediately thought of the above video.

I quit WoW about a year and a half ago, but everything I've heard indicates that this is a very good time to get into WoW.

With all the gameplay tweaks and revised leveling areas, I would think it'd be much more noob friendly than ever before, but again, I haven't played Cata myself.

Everything I've seen however makes it look pretty kickass though. :)

1. Much longer than it should be.

2. Only if you have nothing that resembles a life and zero other video game interests.

3. As noob friendly as ever. Which is to say incredibly.

4. Excactly as "Meh" as every other WoW expansion pack. And the game itself. Just five more levels of meh.

So sayeth my avatar.
