Probably asked a million times but still..

How many albums do you own? That is physical CDs/Vinyls, not downloads

Also not counting EPs, compilation albums (ie best ofs or record label ccompilations) or singles. But OSTs and remix albums (as in albums remixs, not remix compilations. ie Year Zero Remixed or Silent Alarm Rimixed) are okay.

For me, its a modest (mouse) 131

Over 2100 cds at last count.
100 or so LPs/albums, as I'd sold my collection years ago before moving, and am slowly rebuilding it. =/

Cassettes, with the exception of bootlegs, have long been pitched.

[sub][sub]*Take into account I'm in my early 30s, so I've been collecting for a while...*[/sub][/sub]

Wait, why wouldn't downloaded albums count if they are ones you actually purchased? Digital downloads are every bit as legitimate of an acquisition method as buying physical media from a record store.

The last time I counted I had 210 albums currently residing on my computer (with a few kicking around in a stack somewhere that I've been meaning to import). That figure might not be accurate anymore though since I am lucky if I only end up buying 2 new albums per week (I think I've acquired 6 so far this week).

Plus a bunch of rather large classical compilations that would work out to 77 CDs if I was to burn them all to discs right now, and the usual smattering of singles, demos, and individual tracks I've picked up over the years.

I'd say about 100. I love being able to have a physical copy of anything I own. Packaging is almost a fetish for me...Almost.

Around 70 I'd guess, not counting compilation and best of CDs that probably drops to about 50.

I'm including compilations and EPs in that, because they so count.

According to Rhythmbox it's 1365 (and yes, they're all from CDs I own). It's rather depressing really (though about 300 of them are probably from `Classical' collections).

I don't listen to a wide variety of music.

With the two I bought recently, I own eleven. Six different bands.
