I want to know, because whoever thought of it should be slapped.
It just ate my sega CD collection, mainly becuase I wasn't expecting it to start playing the disc as soon as I put it in.
...Xbox 360's play Sega CD games...? Well...not very well but...zuh?

My 360 hasn't ruined any of my discs; 360, DVD or, CD. Audio, not Sega. I keep mine flat and, level.

None, I've owned my 360 since launch day, simple way to avoid eaten discs is to not touch the 360 while the disk is in motion...seriously it is amazing to hear how many people are like omg my disk was ruined! Did you move the 360 when it happened? Yes. Well there's your problem.

Mine has put a nice ring in my Modern Warfare 2 disk, but since I have it installed on the Xbox's HDD, it still plays fine

None, never had an issue with my 360.

It's 3 years in November since I bought it...no problems so far xD
That is creepy but spot on my response as well.

none as so far.
But my brother always leaves FIFA 11 in the tray, so I hope it eats that game up as punishment.
just tilt it slightly while the disc is spinning.
It'll eat it.
So who's idea was to use something that kills discs to play games?
Ps3 doesn't do that neither does the Wii.

None. The only time I hear of a 360 eating discs is when it is being moved while it is still on, or its standing up. That is why I always keep my 360 flat

Isn't there an option to keep it from automatically starting?
I mean I knew about this before this and I still accidentally did it.
It shouldn't be that easy to do killing 20$ in a way that's easier than ripping a dollar bill in half.

Zero. I don't stand the 360 straight up. That is just asking for trouble.
Tell me about it lol.
While my 360 hasn't ruined (as in made unplayable) any discs, it has damaged some before I stopped running it vertically. Been fine since then.

Yes there is, go into system settings, but it can still break the disk.

My 360 has ruined no discs.

In fact the first 360 I bought was in 2007 it was an Xbox360 Arcade I play it almost everyday and it hasn't red-ringed on me.
