Holy Crap depends on how you count it, if you are talking about just guys I have killed as a single player probably close to a million. If you include games where I am in charge of a stellar nation I've killed Trillions. I've cleansed the Master of Orion Universe clean before a few times with stellar converters, Death Star Laser on a massive scale. That us any where from like 100 Billion + a run through if you wanted.

Thinking about the 16-17 years I've been playing video games, all the genres, all the games covered...

Yikes. Probably killed around a billion I'd say. This is why they should've invented stats and real-life gamercards back in the day. That way when I see how much time has been put into gaming, I could find a good reason to stop. >_>

Does the fact that in any space sim, there's generally millions on a planet count? For example, in the master of orion series, planets are populated by millions of people, and it doesn't take much of a bombardment to destroy all of the infrastructure on a planet, and send it milling back into the stone age.

I play Rome: Total War. So at least millions, if not billions, by now. At least a few cities worth in the UK at the very least, probably China several times over at the very highest.

I realise that probably isn't very helpful :p.

I played the total war games almost religiously for a few years there so... I think I beat Chairman Mao's kill count about a dozen times over.

I'm guessing that I have killed at least 1-10,000,000 enemies in my lifetime of gaming. And yet, I don't feel any remorse for any of them.

It would probably include Stalin as well

Mao killed far more people than Stalin. With some estimates reaching 70 million. That's more than everyone else on the top ten list combined.

Having played Defcon: Everybody Dies, that covers the population of most of the earth...

I would say a couple of small planets are now small lifeless orbs wandering through space because of my gaming genocide.

my thoughts exactly >.> put in human terms though, I'm sure there'd be a LOT of vacant space open for use, like, all of china
