I enjoyed the interface of the menus and also some of the options that were taken out when they made their online multiplayer functionality disabled. This is not to say anything to disaprove of Steam but at least they are still functional albeit with a few things slowly becoming incompatible.

I'm not about to count, since I'm sure it's in the triple digits at this point. I have the disk space, so no point in getting rid of stuff if there's any chance I'll play it again.
ZERO desktop icons, because they are evil and a sure path to the unusable clusterfuck of doom that is most people's desktop. I just add all non-Steam stuff to Steam, because the Win7 start menu is also a clusterfuck of doom itself that sucks nearly as much and is almost as unusable as having 40 hojillion shortcuts on my desktop.
