I think I've bought a fair amount this year, although many of the titles aren't exactly recent. I think the reason I've bought so many old games, is that there is are so few platforming titles available nowadays.
Pc:
Call of Duty 4
The Longest Journey
Dreamfall
Rollercoaster tycoon pack, RT2 and 3 with all the expansions, I just bought it for RT2 really.
Age of Empires pack, aoe 1 & 2 with the expansions.
A sonic collection pack, like 20 sonic games, maybe 2 decent games in there and no good games.
Ps3:
Resistance, GTA4, MGS4, Uncharted, Heavenly Sword, Ratchet & Clank TOD & Quest for booty, Superstardust hd, Medievil, Rayman, Crash Team Racing, Tekken 5.2, Siren Blood Curse.
I honestly can't believe how anyone could ever like Rayman or any of the Sonic games. They are both contain plenty of platforms that are just out of reach. They punish the player unreasonably hard, and unevenly for making mistakes. Basically you get better at those games by iteratively learning parts of the level, instead of getting better at the game. On top of that, you can't use the experience from previous levels, as the level design typically don't follow any logic.
